Joe Simon's Birthday is October 10, 1913. This was reported by Mark Evanier who discussed it with Joe Simon in a phone call. [3]

S&K DID NOT CREATE CAPTAIN MARVEL

I tweaked the article because it seemed to imply that by producing the first issue of CAPTAIN MARVEL ADVENTURES S&K created Captain Marvel! Cap was already appearing in Whiz Comics,an anthology that Cap shared with other characters. Reportedly, Simon and Kirby didn't sign their work in CM Adventures because they weren't proud of their effort on this occasion (which was inked by several people of varying talent), however, despite this claim, Fawcett had a strict policy against giving out bylines to anyone, perhaps even Simon and Kirby. In either case, CAPTAIN MARVEL ADVENTURES went on to become one of the best sellers of the Golden Age.MARK VENTURE (talk) 00:46, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'll tweak it with proper citations. Shouldn't be a problem. Give me a couple of minutes. Also, please don't use all-caps for the titles of comic books. Italicize them, please, instead. Thanks. --Tenebrae (talk) 00:50, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Did Simon see the movie?

This Wikipedia reader would like to know: did he see Captain America: The First Avenger before he died, and if so, did he like it? 174.24.92.212 (talk) 19:45, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
