Persebaya 1927 (Persatuan Sepakbola Surabaya 1927) is a major Indonesian soccer team located in Surabaya, East Java. In 2011-12 Persebaya competes in Indonesian Premier League, the top tier football competition in Indonesia.
The supporters of Persebaya are known as Bonek (abbreviation of Bondo Nekat, literally "The Reckless People") and are notorious for violence and hooliganism, it is the past, not now.[1]
