- Hi, User:Pepper suggested that I request this, because it would help new page patrollers. And by the way, the tool mentioned on this page is broken. Azylber (talk) 16:08, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
- The user has created 102 articles. First edit was on July 30, 2009 and the user has 657 edits total. Alpha_Quadrant (talk) 16:16, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
- Not done Sorry. You've been tripping filter 402 for pretty long. In other words, creating unreferenced articles and not adding references thereon. Much of what you're adding is non-controversial and unchallenged material. But I'll really like to see you create articles with at least one reference in them. Please don't take this otherwise. Just add references and come back or contact me on my talk page and I'll grant you the right myself. Sorry for this. Wifione Message 03:47, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
- No worries!! But a couple of comments:
- 1) All of the articles that don't have references were only my earliest contributions (approx. 40 articles) about the Beijing Subway. When I learned about the importance of having references, I had a discussion with other people also working on the Beijing Subway articles about whether we should go back to all of those articles and add references, and the answer that I received was "no, it's not worth it", mainly for 3 reasons:
- 1.a) I linked all my articles to the corresponding Chinese Wikipedia articles, and all of them cite plenty of sources
- 1.b) The Beijing subway system is developping very very quickly, and they publish information in lots of different places. And crazy stuff happens, for example last time we checked, the official website was out of date! So we didn't want to cite it.
- 1.c) Searching for these "secondary" sources is much lower priority than tackling the problem of missing articles about stations, wrong or out of date articles about lines, and wrong templates.
- 2) Anyway, point 1 refers to my EARLIEST contributions. All of the last 57 articles I've created (excl. disambiguation pages for obvious reasons) have references, and almost all of them have at least 2 references. Also all the other articles I've created (118 total) have references, except for some of the Beijing Subway articles mentioned in point 1.
- Lastly, I'd like to say that getting this Autopatrolled permission has no direct benefits for me. I was asked to request it because it would help new page patrollers, so I was just trying to help.
- Cheers, Azylber (talk) 07:27, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
- I understand. Again, I'm sorry for the not done tag. It's not intended to dissuade a sincere contributor like you. It's just that you've created many recent articles without references, one example amongst many is Wanyuanjie Station, created on Jan 31, 2012. Do please note that there's no controversial material that I'm pointing out. It's just that any normal reader should be able to verify the validity of what you mention within the article. Kind regards. Wifione Message 08:28, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
- The article you mention refers to point 1 of my explanation above. It does not refer to point 2. But anyway, I'm not really interested in this, I was just trying to help the new page patrollers because they said this would be useful for them. But nevermind. Cheers. - It was suggested to me by DThomsen8 that I request permission for autopatrol. I have only created 8 articles, but I thought I would request anyway. Ishtar456 (talk) 20:57, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
- (Non-administrator comment)The autopatrolled right is generally offered to users with creation of atleast 50 suitable articles or more. I'd recommend creating 42 more articles and then come back to request for this right. Abhijay What did I do this time? 03:42, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
- Not done per above reasoning. Wifione Message 03:51, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

- I will be creating many more pages in due time. Therefore, I believe that having auto-patrolled rights will significantly reduce the workload of the New Pages Patrollers in future. Lionratz (talk) 08:02, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
- Done Thanks for your contributions. Wifione Message 03:55, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

- Definitely Not done. See this negative unreferenced BLP. (To be fair, he sourced it when it was BLPPRODDED, but that should still not ever have been created in such a state.) Reaper Eternal (talk) 14:04, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
