Requests for registration
Please read the guide on the main page before requesting permission. In applying for AWB access, you indicate that you will abide by its terms.
Also, this page is for requesting AWB Access for this wiki (English Wikipedia) only. Other projects have their own check pages and you should ask administrators there to add you.
Please add your name to the bottom of the list using *
. Enter your user name exactly as it is, do not add underscores instead of spaces or change the case of the first letter.
{{AWBUser|your username}}

If the list contains undecided entries that are over 48 hours old, please add
to the top of this page.
{{Admin backlog}}
Note that users with under 500 mainspace non-automated edits are rarely approved. You only need to give a reason for wanting AWB access if you have fewer than 500 mainspace non-automated edits.
If approved, your name will be added to the CheckPage.

- Only 245 edits to main space, we expect about double that number of non automated edits. What do you want to do with the tool? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 09:15, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
As you can see, I am currently using WikiCleaner to fix errors and typos on Wikipedia. I would benefit from using this tool to semi automatically fix more errors and basic typos on the articles. Regards, Wikih101 (talk) 20:53, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
- Would you be open to waiting till you reach 500 edits? It might give you a better understanding of various editing issues. Wifione Message 17:43, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
- I would prefer using AWB even before reaching the 500 edits because every time I get onto Wikipedia, I always see many typographic errors and is very tedious to manually correct them every time. Thank you for your understanding and I hope you could approve me, Wikih101 (talk) 23:59, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
- Wikih101 seems to have popped over the 500 limit in a big way, but with huge automation assist. I like to see at least 400 non automated edits that show that thought has happened, rather than a video game button press. Will someone else consider granting the entry? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 10:21, 18 February 2012 (UTC)
- Question I can't grant you this flag but I have it and it is a very powerful tool. I'd like to know why you feel you need this flag before having atleast 500 non automated edits? As editors with counts in the thousands even can make mistakes with AWB.

- You haven't hit the 500 mainspace edit threshold. What do you wish to do with AWB? Tyrol5 [Talk] 12:54, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
- I have. I've made 640 edits, including delete. Devin Davis (talk) 18:22, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
- Or unless you're talking about unique article edits. Devin Davis (talk) 23:45, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
- Correct. I'm talking about main (article) space edits (the red portion of the pie chart), of which you have about 330 or so. Apologies if I wasn't clear above. Tyrol5 [Talk] 03:33, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

- ChrisGualtieri (talk • contribs • non-automated contribs • wikichecker • count • total • logs • page moves • block log • email) Been assisting in several projects and all of them seem to point to AutoWikiBrowser as a great tool for doing so. It would make the tedious task of editing and clean up easier so that I will actually want to do more of it. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 14:49, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- I would like to see more manual edits rather than rollbacks and undos, to show you have experience in addition of material. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 09:23, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
- I'll get right on that. There are quite a few pages that I can work on from the backlog manually too. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 15:28, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
- I've done more manual editing, fixing and clean up of articles. I must note for my next review that I use STiki and do lots of AfC reviews so my manual edits seem few and far between. I do my best in these two projects yet I do add material and update frequently, but it should also be noted that I help edit through the IRC channels and do some backlog work on the side. I've read the Manual of Style thoroughly in lead up to asking for AutoWikiBrowser permission. I hope I can pass inspection now. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 15:56, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
- I can trust Chris with the AWB tools, he does good work dealing with newer editors in the #wikipedia-en-help channel, and he seems like a very sensible person. Secret account 05:39, 6 March 2012 (UTC)

- Makecat (talk • contribs • non-automated contribs • wikichecker • count • total • logs • page moves • block log • email) I want to use AWB to update infobox in chemical or astronomical articles. I have been using this software on Chinese Wikipedia for almost one year so I think I know most of the functions. Besides, I have made about 600 edits now, maybe enough?
