Bayberry, New York

Bayberry is an area in the city of New Rochelle in Westchester County, New York, United States. It is bordered by the town of Mamaroneck on the east, by the Leatherstocking Trail and Beechmont Woods area on the south, by Pinebrook Boulevard on the west and by Sheldrake Lake and nature preserve on the north. The area is entirely residential and has no main arteries or through routes.

Developed as a residential subdivision in 1954,[1] Bayberry contains 200 homes, 60 acres of undeveloped forest and an 8 1/2 acre park on the shore of Sheldrake Lake. The community centers around recreational facilities that are funded and maintained by the collective homeowners. These facilities include swimming pools, tennis courts, a playground and day camp, a clubhouse and a private bus service are available with a homeowners deed. [2]
