The target article gives some examples of urban political machines, but doesn't really provide specific information on the topic (not even the US section is urban-specific). This might arguably become a valid article of its own; until then it's an unlikely search term for political machines in general, and we're better off with a redlink than a redirect. Less is not more. Redirects can easily be turned into articles (where more details are easily contributed with a low bar to entry). Redlinks cannot. Accessibility systems for the visually impaired (like a refreshable Braille display) will turn standard ASCII characters into Braille; it's not necessary to use the UTF-8 Braille letters for that purpose. Conversely, I doubt even the writings of the visually impaired are displayed in Braille on standard monitors (ie they write ASCII just like anybody else). Comment: I don't think the English categorization scheme is a good example to follow. The US scheme which categorizes people by state and, if necessary, by city, seems much clearer; it'd give us Category:Irish sportspeople by county and Category:Irish sportspeople by city, but not this mixture. Compare Category:Irish musicians by county. Furthermore, it'd give us a little more wiggle room: If a certain person is born in X and moved to Y to play sports, what is his "location of origin", X or Y? OK, let's do that then.
Done: I've created the county category, but since we currently apparently have just a single city (Dublin), we don't need a category for that yet. Instead I've created Category:Sportspeople from County Dublin and integrated the Dublin city category into the scheme by adding it to the County Dublin category. No início da adolescência, o interesse pela fotografia me levou a montar um pequeno laboratório, nos fundos da casa onde morava, para copiar as imagens em preto e branco, recém captadas com a câmera Yashica 135mm, emprestada de um amigo. Sempre tive interesse pela composição fotográfica. Recordo que nesta época, ou na segunda metade dos anos 70, passava as noites dentro do laboratório, copiando imagens, revelando filmes e ouvindo música. Consumi inúmeras caixas de papel fotográfico Talbot, Ilford e Ektalure H(Kodak), vindos do Uruguai, no muitos rolos de filme Agfa e Kodak Tri-x. Um dia recebi a sugestão de um experiente fotógrafo da cidade, "Se quiser aprimorar tua composição, usa uma caixa de fósforo como se fosse a câmera". Desde então, passei a portar uma caixa de fósforos no bolso da calça, e sempre que saía a rua, utilizava esta caixa, como o visor de uma câmera imaginária, para fazer fotos, também imaginárias. Acredito que esta lição simples e proveitosa, serviu durante um longo tempo, até comprar minha primeira câmera, uma Nikon FM, e abandonar acaixa de fósforo. Em 1982, me transferi para Porto Alegre, comprei uma câmera de médio formato (Mamya RB), e montei um estúdio, e então decidi fazer da fotografia minha profissão. Nesta mesma época começei a fazer os primeiros trabalhos para agências de propaganda. Em 1983 apresentei no MARGS, a primeira exposição individual: "Psicografias". Entre 1986 a 1987, fui fotógrafo free-lancer da revista Bizz, especializada em pop-rock. Além de fazer a cobertura de shows internacionais e nacionais para esta revista, produzi fotos para capas de discos de grupos do rock gaúchos, entre os quais: Engenheiros do Hawai, TNT, Defalla, Cascavelletes, Bandaliera, Cidadão Quem, entre outros. Hoje, somam mais de 25 capas entre LPs, CDs e DVDs. Em 1989 fui a Itália passar uma temporada, e lá, mais precisamente na Sicilia, a convite da editora Fabio Orlando, fotografei 82 restaurantes e osterias, na região de Palermo, as quais foram publicadas no livro "Guida Ai Ristoranti e Alla Gastronomia Siciliana". Entre 1991 a 1993 trabalhei como fotógrafo free-lancer para as revistas Veja e Exame. Recebi a premiação do 1. lugar no XVI Salão de Artes Chico Lisboa. Fui membro do júri no 1. e no 5. SET Universitário da Famecos-PUC/RS. Participei de várias exposições coletivas, entre as quais: Fotografia Contemporânea Gaúcha (Margs,1986), XVI Salão Chico Lisboa (Margs,1986), Paisagens Silenciosas (Funarte/RJ, 1994); Realizei exposições individuais: Psicografias (Margs,1983), Postais da Itália (Theatro São Pedro, Porto Alegre, 1992), As Cidades Invisíveis (Solar dos Câmara,1993), Paisagens (Theatro São Pedro, Porto Alegre ,1996), Retratos do Brasil ( ArtForms Gallery, Santa Cruz, Califórnia), Retratos Em Cena (Teatro Renascença, 2004). Em 2000, ao lado do jornalista Luiz Americano viajei o Brasil para retratar um traço curioso da cultura brasileira: a paixão pelo automóvel. Como resultado, publicamos o livro "100 Retratos Brasileiros Apaixonados por Carro", o qual contou com texto de apresnetação de Ruy Castro. Como fotógrafo convidado, participei de várias publicações como "Caringi - O Escultor dos Pampas", "Mário Quintana - A Quinta Essência de Quintana", "Theatro São Pedro - 150 anos", "O Pampa Gaúcho", entre outros. Ainda em parceria do jornalista Luiz Americano lançei os livros "Piá, Prenda e Peão - Acampamento Farroupilha de Porto Alegre" e "Caminhos Gaúchos - Olhar dos Viajantes" . Em 2008, esquadrinhei os cantos e recantos de Porto Alegre, em busca de imagens para o livro "Porto Alegre - Cenas Urbanas, Paisagens Rurais", o qual recebeu o Prêmio Açorianos de Literatura - Melhor Projeto Gráfico). Em 2009, recebi o prêmio "Bravo Dr. Álvaro Godoy", ao lado de personalidades bageenses. Em 201o lancei o livro Cidades Gaúchas - Paisagens Urbanas, o qual apresenta imagens do patrimônio arquitetônico restaurado em 28 cidades do interior do Rio Grande do Sul. Atualmente, estou produzindo imagens para o livro Centro Histórico de Porto Alegre, e realizando viagens ao interior do Estado em busca de imagens para o livro Rio grande do Sul – O Solo e o Homem, que sera lançado em 2012. Desenvolvo meu trabalho autoral apoiado na noção de uma fotografia que se constitui em expressão material e simbólica de manifestações culturais contemporâneas.[reply]
