Direct Ferries (directferries.co.uk) is a UK-based ferry travel aggregator service which is owned and operated by Direct Ferries Ltd.[1] It provides instant, real-time access to scheduled ferry crossings across Europe and North Africa both on and offline.

History

It was established from Direct Freight Ltd, a company which had been operating in the commercial ferry sector since the early 1990s. This is now operated under Direct Ferries Ltd as Freightferries.com.Cite error: The <ref> tag has too many names (see the help page). The website has localised versions in 19 countries and 15 languages, and in 2011 the company launched a ferry booking site for mobile devices. [2]

Operations

The company’s headquarters are in Central London. [2] Following the website launch, sales grew by 450% from year one to year two and continued to grow a minimum of 13% year-on-year, with a turnover £46.5 million in 2011.Cite error: The <ref> tag has too many names (see the help page).

In 2012, Direct Ferries achieved 177th place in the Sunday Times International Track 200.[2]
