I warmly agree. The term is not and cannot be precisely defined, Longing redirects here and there is a big mess in IW references, which cannot be corrected in the present state. IMHO, the German equivalent should be Sehnsucht, the French one Désir etc. --Sokoljan (talk) 14:28, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
– The emotion of longing is clearly the primary topic for this term. The philosophy is about how this emotion is treated by philosophers, thus a sub-topic of the emotion.
