File mover

(add requestview requests)

User:Faizanalivarya

Looking for this right so I can edit and move files from one project to other more easily. Thanks Faizan Munawar Varya chat contributions 10:43, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. Filemover is not for moving files between projects; that purpose is served by having the files on WP:Commons where they can be shared by all Wikipedias. Please see Wikipedia:File mover to see what the tool is for. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 11:39, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to request filemover rights. So I that I could help insure files conform to wikipedia's standards by being appropriate by making sure they are not,Offensive/Crude, non missleading, and accurate ones I believe I can be entrusted with this tool. And I'm aware that any tool can and will be removed if they are abused TucsonDavidU.S.A. 03:25, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I object. The requester has an excessively broad view of what needs to be "cleaned up." He "cleans up" his Talk page, removing comments that are not even hostile, never mind vandalism. The requester's nominations for deletion are out of step with the community. Of particular relevance to file moving is accurate spelling, something the requester hasn't consistently demonstrated.--Brian Dell (talk) 20:32, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'd object too, but mostly because the requester's rationale to obtain the rights is not under what the file mover right is for. — ΛΧΣ21 20:37, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I admit that I nominated Matthäus Hetzenauer in error. As to my spelling the computer I use sometimes glitches. Also cleaning up my talk page as far as I know removing comments that "are not even hostile, never mind vandalism." is not against any polcie that I'm aware. Do we not have the right to clean up our own talk? It seams to me that User:Bdell555 is not Assuming Good Faith.TucsonDavidU.S.A. 21:51, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
How is my statement for my request of "So I that I could help insure files conform to wikipedia's standards by being appropriate by making sure they are not,Offensive/Crude, non missleading, and accurate ones" is not a good one for requesting this flag? Filemover is ment so that people are not Confussed, and that files are appropriate, example File:uglestgirlintheworld.jpg to File:Jane_Doe.jpg and Correct misleading names into accurate ones. This is what file mover is for.TucsonDavidU.S.A. 22:56, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I am seeing that you only have three contributions to the File namespace, which means that there is a big possibility that you won't be granted the right. My recommendation is to work more on that namespace, and then, request the right again. Regards. — ΛΧΣ21 23:55, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
