Kristina Akheeva (born 01 November 1986) is an Australian model and actress, who works in India.[1]
Early life
Akheeva was born in Khabarovsk, Russia to a Russian mother and half Tajikistani half Russian father. At age 7, Kristina moved to Australia and later at age 17, moved to Melbourne to pursue an acting career. While developing her craft at an acting school, she was approached by numerous photographers who wanted to work with her. At first, she wanted no more than to have some nice pictures of herself, but over time she started to get more and more regular work with local photographers. [2]
Career
She is set to make her Hindi film debut in Yamla Pagla Deewana 2, alongside Sunny Deol.[3] Akheeva had to learn hindi for her role in the movie, as she was alien to the language.[4]. She is taking her debut film in Bollywood seriously, as she said "I am indeed taking my career in Bollywood very seriously and I think that the language plays a very important role. Hence, I am brushing up my Hindi skills."[5]
