Ethnicity

Why is the ethynic descent of Mrs. Franklin relevant?

Isn't it part of a person's bio? By the way, it's spelled "ethnic". Is is politically incorrect or wrong to state someone's ethnicity? It's not a job interview, it's a wikipedia bio page. --24.189.35.249 (talk) 20:55, 26 February 2008 (UTC)174.74.29.115 (talk) 22:51, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

To make an issue of whether it is stated or not is to suggest that the ethnicity (Russian, in this case) is for some reason derogatory to the individual being biographed, and/or that the reader is susceptible to forming a bias if such info is shared!174.74.29.115 (talk) 22:51, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
