Escape Orbit
Please leave messages on my talk page.

I am human, so sometimes I make mistakes. If you have come here to complain about something I have done, please do not take it personally.
Explain where you think I've gone wrong and I will happily explain what I was thinking when I did it. With your help I can rectify any errors I may have made. Thanks.

Reverted Craig Mabbitt and need some help

I've reverted Craig Mabbitt page, and now I need some help. The user, name is User talk:Stgw, he was so disturbing, changing escape the fate, Craig Mabbitt, and all albums of escape the fate's genre, and he deleted the contents from escape the fate article, what can i do to make him stop? Sorry for my english. Thanks (Talk) 18:45, 7 April 2013 (UTC + 7)

About auld lang syne

Hi! I just checked your message. I understand that some of my parts about the connection between "Auld lang syne" and "Jipy jay" are unclear, but I sincerely believe that the other "international versions" are kind of uncited as well, so I don't understand why my contribution has been deleted. Can you please explain to me what does wikipedia understand as "sources", since the other versions don't have that "original research" issue?. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Juanmaklaot (talkcontribs) 02:19, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Vandal detection

Hey! I saw you've just reverted the article about All Dogs Go to Heaven 2. I reported the vandalism case to another administrator though. Is there a way we can block the vandal user's IP address? I read his/her edit list and it's not his/her first time doing that... Thanks! Gégène (talk) 00:50, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You're right, but this is an IP address also used by other people who don't vandalise. I'll request a block if they do it again. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 00:53, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Brigantes

Etymology chapter is almost out of sources. Addition includes a lot of links, what is equal to the source. If you think there is a need of any more sources, please mark it exactly. Deleting without trying to improve the content is considered to be a heavy vandalism. If Nick won't be cooperative, there is no other way to report vandalism. --Rheton (talk) 21:46, 5 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

eBay

Hello Escape Orbit, Thank you for your advice. The information comes from ebay's help pages and terms and conditions. I have reworded it to be more factual and less opinion based, so hopefully that stays within guidelines. Nothing is made up and all can be verified by checking the ebay pages mentioned. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Memollymoo (talkcontribs) 23:07, 11 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

List of internet chess servers

Hello! Yes, good call on that last edit. Are you following the discussion at Talk:List_of_Internet_chess_servers? I agree with you there, only notable articles should get listed on that article. OGBranniff (talk) 00:21, 15 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Tim Gustard

I note that you have visited the Tim Gustard page in the past. It gets constantly vandalised by Filthemill, Rocketrod put it right but Filthemill seems to have some personal vendetta against the artist. As a close associate of the artist I feel it might be better if this continues that the article be deleted altogether, this sort of behaviour is not in the spirit of Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.150.15.212 (talk) 09:46, 18 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Escape Orbit, Just wondering why you deleted my edit to the end of the Quality of Care section of the Socialized Medicine entry at 4:58 on 2/23. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wordperfect (talkcontribs) 21:08, 28 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Escape Orbit. I didn't cite supporting authorities simply because I didn't take the time to figure out how to insert footnotes. But when I get a chance I'll pull together my research and do it correctly. Thanks again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wordperfect (talkcontribs) 21:41, 28 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dragonfly Productions

PLEASE READ http://tfgtv.matt-quinn.com/rates.html

PLEASE CROSS CHECK THE FACTS THEREIN - You can use services such as Duedil and the Companies House webcheck service...

Currently, Wikipedia is lending credence to a Fraudster. And you are removing the checkable facts from a page full of lies.

This is NOT disruptive editing. The original post contains serious factual falshood with potential criminal implications. Specifically

1) That this company is located on London - it is NOT - The London address is a mailing service. This is a potentia breachof The Companies Act.

2) That this company created certain programmes it did not and it is an infringement of moral rights under the UK Copyrights, Designs and Patents act 1988 for them to claim otherwise.

3) The company is passing off, attempting to hijack another company's goodwill contrary to The Companies act. 89.241.234.180 (talk) 21:26, 28 February 2013 (UTC)89.241.234.180 (talk) 21:44, 28 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you have a legal quarrel with this company I suggest you speak to your solicitors, instead of trying to pursue it though Wikipedia. Thanks. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 00:31, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am writing to you because you have previously edited a Wikipedia page about the company Dragonfly Productions. That is in fact my company.

I have become aware that am individual has been embarking on a hate campaign and has been posting a lot of negative content online about my company. They have repeatedly vandalised the [dragonfly productions] wikipedia page.

Please can you offer some advise? Can the page be protected from this kind of abuse? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Charliesouthall (talkcontribs) 11:51, 3 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The page can be protected. Just launch a report at WP:RPP and an Administrator will access your request, although not all requests will succeed. But first, please read WP:PROTECT to learn about the different types of protection before you make a decision. When you edit the page, please note to only insert neutral (unbiased) content, as per WP:NPOV. I hope the above info helps. Cheers and happy editing! Arctic Kangaroo 11:58, 3 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

General Electric, my section on Political Affiliation

EO, I see the necessity of your edit of my contribution. I approve and thank you for improving on my work. Evangelos Giakoumatos (talk) 04:14, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You are very welcome. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 15:38, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Scare quotes

On the Mark Lundy page, you have removed what you call scare quotes. That's fine with me - but why do call them scare quotes? And whats your objection to them? Offender9000 17:33, 13 March 2013 (UTC)

Scare quotes. They are a way of sneaking an opinion into what otherwise should be a factual description. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 17:57, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

okay then — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tomsimpson1 (talkcontribs) 01:40, 27 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Avery

I'll all for assuming good faith, but do you seriously think that is a well-intentioned editor who just happens to want to claim that a professional hockey player, whose page is frequently targeted with vandalism, is gay? Look into the IPs editing history. Periodically the IP does this to different celebrity pages. Echoedmyron (talk) 20:44, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Also note the IP has added this info 4 times today alone, thereby violating WP:3RR Echoedmyron (talk) 20:47, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
