What has Seagaliana got to do with homophobia? Tom 21:42, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

--if you see many of his movies, he often makes the analogy between his character's (alter ego's) investigative / law enforcement activities and male-on-male sexual assault. --65.9.9.249 23:55, 7 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You may be better able to develop this one...

I started an article on Laeliinae, as it was in Wikipedia:Most wanted articles - the current content exhausts my knowledge on the subject, tho. Care to have a crack at expanding it? BDAbramson T 19:41, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nagin quote

As Ray Nagin's full quote of his "explanation" of his Chocolate City remarks claims he was talking about a "delicious drink", I wish you hadn't assumed it refered to milk chocolate and modified various articles under that assumption without looking up the full quote first. Cheers, -- another nut in the Chocolate City, Infrogmation 02:40, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

: Heh. I don't know if the "delcious drink" Nagin is thinking of is chocolate milk or hot chocolate. Either way, bon appetit, -- Infrogmation 02:56, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia, but please do not insert text referring to Nagin's remarks into articles other than the one about Ray Nagin himself. The incident is not notable or relevant enough to merit a mention on a general page like Chocolate. Please continue to contribute to Wikipedia, but note that edits like adding a link to Milk in an article about the Caucasian race are considered vandalism and will be removed. Again, thank you for you contributions. - Maximusveritas 06:54, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

your request makes no sense. everything is connected. the feeature that makes wikipedia useful is the ability to connect articles to see relevances. if you can't understand the relevance of legitimate backstory, widen your worldview. take off the blinders. knowledge should be inclusive. is anyhting i wrote a lie? no -- so shame on you for dumbing down america. and shame on you for thinking a majority opinion makes something correct. --Ghetteaux 11:45, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Just because something is factual does not mean it is appropriate for it to be on pages where it is not relevant or appropriate. The disambiguation pages are meant to serve as a helpful guide for people when they search for a term that has multiple meanings. It is not meant to be a place where you list random instances in which the word was used. Can you imagine what the page would look like if everyone did that? Encyclopedias can only be so long before they become useless.
Please do continue to contribute, but don't be upset if someone removes or alters your contributions. That's going to happen here. If you feel something you wrote in good faith was incorrectly removed, add it back. If it gets removed again, start a discussion about it on the Talk Page and try to find out the consensus opinion of the other editors of the page. Hopefully, this comment was helpful. Feel free to ask more questions if you have any concerns. - Maximusveritas 04:12, 25 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

please do not: 1)replace pictures already placed by other users 2)place pictures where they don't fit.

pleeze do not 1) knee-jerk delete contributions 2)use the Rapping article as your fanzine site. thanks--Ghetteaux 13:56, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It isn't my fanzine site, there are many rappers on it I don't like, and I often remove rappers I do. Try to fit the aesthetic format is all I'm saying.--Urthogie 15:16, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for adding an appropriate image at the right place at the right time. I plan on keeping it and frankly prefer it over Rakim. Thanks!--Urthogie 15:48, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Who is Steven Seagal? -Damien Vryce 19:16, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

yo -- s.s. is many things, to many people. first and foarmost, tho, he is a ice-cold killer. RECOGNIZE. --Ghetteaux 20:34, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
uhm... go here
Ok, so he's an ice cold killer.....what does that even mean? could you explain a LOT better as to who he is? --Damien Vryce 16:16, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
cheque it -- yore best bet is 2 reed this page: Steven Seagal. start there, but then also realize this: beyond what we can ever know, s.s. is a complicated, misunderstood icon. tuff guy, spiritualist, or cinderblock-turned-actor? the only thing we can agree on is the man requires further and increasingly serious study. i hoap 2 hold a symposium before 2010 on the man and his impactz. --Ghetteaux 16:25, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Whoa man, that's deep. --Damien Vryce 16:26, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Seagaliana

So, you say that they took this off of the page right? Well then what was the reason? And also, why don't you just add it back? I don't see how it is a bad thing to have on the page if you just make it a teenie bit smaller.-Damien Vryce 19:14, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

see, i tried 2 add this contribution, but they deemed it wack. it was [Category:Seagaliana], and they thought seagal didn't rate a category. they are player haters, obviously. RECOGNIZE. --Ghetteaux 17:29, 16 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Batman and Robin

That image of Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson in bed together is hilarious! Where did you find it? We should identify the source in the caption, along with the writer and artist, if possible. —Josiah Rowe (talkcontribs) 21:13, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

unfortunately, it was emaled to me, so i don;t know the detailz. but someone out there probably knows. --Ghetteaux 21:32, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sword Master

Don't get offended by the deletion of master. A master is Japanese sword arts is a very specific thing. SS may be an Aikido master but it is not transferable and quite insulting to those that are. Movie choreographs don't count - in Japan there are literally hundreds of highly skilled movie swordsman - they don't call themselves Master. Again go for fact not hyperbole.Peter Rehse 01:29, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. no offense taken. but please realize that "master" and "japanese" are not mutually inclusive; in other words, an individual can be a "blackbelt" in "kendo," and a "master" in something unrelated and unrecognized by the kendo fans. dude, check out the articles on venn diagram and Japanophile beofre you get revert crazy!. Note your context! --Ghetteaux 01:34, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
just realized -- maybe i should be clearer: the word "japanese" was not used in teh sentence i wrote; therefore your criticism "A master is Japanese sword arts is a very specific thing" doesn't relate to the term master swordsman.
note: kendo = japanese sport; swordsman (does not equal) japanese concept. --Ghetteaux 01:44, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Be a bit careful with your assumptions. My initial sword background is in European fencing - he is not a master in that context either. Secondly - his sword background (what little he has) is in the Japanese context and unless my memory fails me - I've only seen him use Japanese swords. By putting Kendo and swordmaster in the same sentence (need I remind you that you originally said Kendo master) you are making the terms inclusive. A simple question - under what frame of reference is he considered a sword master I (again movie fans don't count).Peter Rehse 02:24, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WHEW!!!! sounds to me like someone is a Seagaloclast! dude, I never wrote the term "kendo master" on that article -- check the article history b4 you accuse me of such high crimes! and about your biography: you sound like a deadly and dashing opponent! your training and abilitiez make many men tremble! not to worry, i would never challenge your obvious swordflashtery. but seriously, would you go blade for blade with Takeshigemichi? I didn't think so. so bow your head to the master; baiter is a man who hooks worms. --Ghetteaux 02:40, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You're right you didn't put the Kendo master entry in - my bad. However, I'm not anti Seagal just accuracy. I also don't make any claims for my ability - in sword or Aikido or whatever but I also don't take movie choreography as a good measure either (in the one movie I was in I actually look like I know judo). And what's with the petty insults?Peter Rehse 03:52, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
PRrese, i acknowledge your martial abilities. and i do not mean to insult you; i merely meant that it would be unwise to challenge Steven Seagal on his own deadly ground. but keep it real and keap on keepin things accurate. piece out. --Ghetteaux 11:57, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You know the community is probably going to delete this cat (or at least take out all the articles that are not actual Seagal films or the like). BDAbramson T 18:57, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

the community will then have to delete all of the categories in Category:Categories_by_person. such as the categories Category:Hilary Duff, Category:Bing Crosby, Category:Michael Jackson, etc. --Ghetteaux 19:00, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
There's an argument for that - more likely they'll strip it from most of the articles (I see someone removed it from groin attack already). BDAbramson T 19:05, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
hey, if those philisteenz can't grasp the conexxion, i can't help them. --Ghetteaux 19:07, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sad to say, but I've cleaned out some of the extraneous material from Category:Steven Seagal. If you re-ad it and I see it, I'll bring it to CFD as a recreation of Category:Seagaliana. Movies, sure. His dojos, ok. The herb thing that goes in the energy drinks, stretching it but still ok. Per your links, Hilary Duff looks like it only has her movies and pictures of her used in articles...and that is typical for eponymous categories. --Syrthiss 19:40, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use images

Getting close to a personal attack there. --Syrthiss 15:25, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

yo, homie -- relax.

Sections

Please do not restore the "Seagalogy" section to the Steven Seagal article. It has been removed for a reason. DS 19:16, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

yo, i didn't author that section, so don't b assuming. i did readd it though, because if someone tried 2 make a segalogy page, suckas would try 2 merge it. so i'm saving them the trouble. --Ghetteaux 19:58, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism of an innocent userpage

Must you be so obvious? Hmph. Whatever. I know you vandalized my userpage. It's cute, really. Too bad some reverted your nonsense within seconds. Yeah. Just thought you'd like to know. The Anti-Gnome 06:55, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

hi, this is ghetteaux, testing my ISP by posting without a login.
looks like my isp is: 74.238.7.182
the vandal's isp was: 75.4.53.186
I guess you should retract your accusation. no worries, though, I can see how you might have mistaken them for me. --Ghetteaux 10:55, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

can't bear to retract, i guess. but that was my prediction. --Ghetteaux 17:50, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The IP Addresses are fairly similar and the vandalism matches your MO. ACS (Wikipedian) 18:40, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"fairly similar;" ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha -- you might consider reading about IP addresses. --Ghetteaux 19:07, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You might consider working on your reputation. It's not good. You've made yourself the prime suspect. Furthermore, you might consider reading up. A user's IP can easily change and often does. However, similarities and core number often remain. Are we through? ACS (Wikipedian) 19:23, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

dude, you're awesome. i really don't know anything about you, except that you contribute to a batman page. but now i see that you post like you are in a comic book. keep up the drama, homie. --Ghetteaux 19:39, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The vandal ISP, 75.4.53.186, is in a block from 75.0.0.0 - 75.47.255.255 under the control of SBC Internet Services[1]. Ghetteaux's ISP, 74.238.7.182, is in a block from 74.224.0.0 - 74.255.255.255, under the control of BellSouth.net Inc.[2], an entirely different provider. This user can not have changed IPs unless he simultaneously changed internet service providers, a highly unlikely situation. Also, informing someone that they have "made yourself the prime suspect" fails to assume good faith. BDAbramson T 20:10, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
BDA, thanx for keepin everything focused on the REAL. you are the ice cold mediator. --Ghetteaux 10:33, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Addition of "That Crazy Guy" to "Chick Publications tracts"

I don't think that tract is one of his more notable tracts. It has, not, for example, been parodied multiple times nor is it one of his more well sold ones. JoshuaZ 13:27, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

thanks for your opinion. It is however, one of the most notable tracts. it has a huge reputation, and is very frequently discussed by jack chick scholars. --Ghetteaux 13:38, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have a citation for the claim or an example of it being discussed? I'm also slightly curious as to your use of the term "jack chick scholars" since I wasn't aware such a group existed. JoshuaZ 13:45, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
hey Josh, back in the old days i lived near the jack chick headquarters. I frequented the store, and got a feel for what was prominent in their modest salesroom. i also collect the tracks, and books written about the tracks. one authoritative volume discusses this tract extensively. a number of libraries have accessioned these little gems for future studies of millenialism.
a hypothesis: you cite that that crazy guy hasn't been parioded multiple times. I might respond that internet parody is generally the work of a certain type of person. that type of person might target "dark dungeons" for parody, as it speaks to a hobby (RPGs) enjoyed by the satirist.
however, is sex a common hobby of those that spend time making internet parodies? maybe not. therefore, less parody of the sex tract. --Ghetteaux 14:25, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
