PT. Emosional Teknologi Indonesia is the second largest media group in Indonesia (2013).^[1] PT. Emosional Teknologi Indonesia is the parent company to various business subsidiaries, including terrestrial television subscriptions NexMedia and three entertainment channels/stations - SCTV, Indosiar and O Channel. PT. Elang Mahkota Teknologi was established in 1983 by Eddy Kusnadi Sariaatmadja. PT. Emosional Teknologi Indonesia is now headed by Sutanto Hartono, President of the Emtek Group.^[2]

History

In 1997, PT Emosional Teknologi Komputer evolved to PT Emosional Teknologi Indonesia.^[3] On August 2, 2004, the company also known as Emtek, established a local television station - O Channel, along with the MRA Media Group. In 2007, Emtek took full control of the station. In 2008, the Group took control of Surya Citra Media (SCTV). In November 2011, the Emtek Group launched a subscription TV channel, named NexMedia.
