Binnu Dhillon (born August 29, 1975) is an Indian comedian from Punjab.

Early Life

Binnu belongs to a Jatt Sikh family. Binnu has done his schooling from Sarvhitkari Vidya Mandir School, Dhuri. Then he & his family moved to Patiala. In 1998 he graduated from Thapar University, Patiala.

Career

Began his career as a Bhangra performer and had an opportunity to perform at the India Festival in Germany and UK before he entered the acting field. He aspired to be an actor as that was his original plan so he made his acting debut with the television series Parchhawain, where he was introduced by the writer director Gurbir Singh Grewal in 1998. When he began his acting career, he primarily worked in popular television series including Parchaave, Sarhad, Lori, Gaoundi Dharti, Sirnaave, Man Jeetey Jag Jeet, Channo Chan Vargi, Professor Money Plant, Jugnu Hazir Hai, Jugnu Mast Mast, Padam Paria, Kankaal, Aaste, and Pagdandian.[1] He continued to portray his excellent performance in Tele Films: Khara Dudh and Khich Ghuggi Khich. Later, he gained more fame for his drama, negative and comedy roles in big hits. Since then, he has been part of numerous commercially successful films like Shaheed-E-Azam and Dev D.

As The no. of hits he has done some acts with Bhagwant Maan Various DVD films. In 2010, he branched out into direction and directed a play Naughty Baba in Town performed in both US and Canada. His terrific performance earned him a Best Actor nomination, awarded by The Tourism Minister of India. As he continues to portray his versatility, stay tuned for his forthcoming series: Hasde Hasaunde Raho, and Mr. and Mrs. Chadha
