Jammu-Sialkot Line

[edit]

Maiden journey from Sialkot to Jammu, 19th Century

Created by RaviC (talk). Self-nominated at 00:49, 16 January 2014 (UTC).

  • This article needs to be longer to qualify - it is only 1,263 chars at present, needs to be 1,500 to be eligible for DYK. --Bcp67 (talk) 13:07, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
Ok, I'll extend it. Thanks --RaviC (talk) 13:16, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
Should be over 1,500 now. --RaviC (talk) 14:54, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, it appears to be good to go right now. Futurist110 (talk) 07:17, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
  • This article has been pulled from the prep area, per WT DYK and needs a complete review. Futurist110, your comment above does not qualify as a QPQ, per DYK review instructions please begin with one of the 5 review symbols that appear at the top of the edit screen, and then indicate all aspects of the article that you have reviewed. — Maile (talk) 12:48, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
Is there any chance someone could review the nomination? Thanks --RaviC (talk) 10:29, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Article is now long enough at just over 2000 characters. Hook well within character limit and supported by two online references [1] and [2]. Checked all links linked in article. Fixed one minor instance of close paraphrasing. Image supported by appropriate licence. Some copy edits still required before article is ready for the main page. Eg. "although the initiative was not followed" does not clearly express what's intended. Would recommend moving "The train from Sialkot would depart at 8am, and the train from Jammu would depart at 11am" from the lead. EagerToddler39 (talk) 00:48, 25 January 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for reviewing the article. I've tried to clarify better the the phrase you've mentioned, and I've moved the sentence from the lead. Does anything else need to be done in terms of copy editing? --RaviC (talk) 23:57, 25 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Comment Just one other thing. The mention of the Agra summit is out of context. Perhaps include a brief statement summarizing it, especially how it relates to the railway line. Perhaps "in July 2001 the Agra summit was convened to resolve long-standing issues between Pakistan and India" ... "Azad expressed the hope that, due to the Agra summit ..." Once that's done I believe the DYK is ready. EagerToddler39 (talk)
That suggestion sounds good, I've added it to the paragraph. --RaviC (talk) 00:40, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
  • - All checks completed, improvements made and DYK is now ready. EagerToddler39 (talk) 02:57, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
Thank you! --RaviC (talk) 10:31, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
