Incorrect Application of Wikipedia rules to

SMS.

Your edits and undos to the MM Alam page do not support your justification cited.. Also you are not following proper policies for discussion and conflict resolution. Edits which no way were in copyright violation and were supported by sources were undone, without discussion.

This would lead to appearance of bias. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Barath s (talkcontribs) 23:43, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Kindly read my message on your talk page and further linked pages regarding the copyright issue. About the other issue I remember I made it clear to you earlier, how you deleted or altered sourced content that you didn't find online or have access to and how it is not acceptable here. If you want to add something, please do it, you are most welcome but don't alter sourced content specially when you can't verify it, or if you have to for some other reason, present your case on the talk when someone does not agree with you. -- SMS Talk 21:43, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I had avoided responding earlier on that, to try to prevent a flame war. Paraphrased wordings and edits which are less than a sentence have also been deleted/undone. under the guise of 'copyright'. Per wikipedia policy, not every source and sentence is sacrosanct and need be carried forward forever. While an earlier draft which shows significant evidence of copypasta is repeatedly reverted to. (for proof, just google some of the initial phrases and look at result time stamps before 2006) I believe the reasoning presented specious. To be constructive, let us look at alternate wordings, thrust of article and identifying specific sentences that you believe objectionable rather than wholesale reverts. Officious alludes to policy regarding banning can be taken as intimidation rather than helpful clarification ~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Barath s (talkcontribs) 14:07, 26 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

SMS - Member Lew Sheen (talk) 15:39, 22 February 2014 (UTC)Lew_Sheen here.[reply]

I have added links to Summitpost.org and Himalaya-Info.org to all 14 8,00 meter peak pages. These 2 sites, Summitpost.org and Himalaya-Info.org, contain much additional information about the main mountain subject pages. Neither site is a commercial site, each uses the .org domain classification. I added them to increase the amount of information available to wikipedia users interested in learning more about the peaks.

In addition, both Summitpost.org and Himalaya-Info.org have extensive and unique photos of the peaks and the surrounding areas, photos not available anywhere else.

Finally, both Summitpost.org and Himalaya-Info.org have comprehensive rights policies which are strictly enforced.

I believe the addition of these external links will greatly enhance a wikipedia user's experience - especially one who seeks to learn more about the 14 8,000 meter peaks on our planet.

Thanks,

Lew Sheen (talk) 15:39, 22 February 2014 (UTC)Lew_Sheen[reply]

Hello Lew Sheen. Thanks for the explanation. I also agree to some extent about the usefulness of these pages that is why I didn't remove them but the way you added these links looked somewhat like spamming, so thought to let you know about some of the guidelines that you may find helpful. Hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia. -- SMS Talk 15:58, 22 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the info on wikipedia's guidelines regarding external links, I had not read them before. They all make good sense to me, and I certainly will bear them in mind in the future.

Sudhan

I have been working on this for he last 5 years and have no idea why you would destroy this. I will apprecaite if you would leave this alone — Preceding unsigned comment added by Trueblood786 (talkcontribs) 01:16, 23 February 2014‎ (UTC)[reply]

@Trueblood786 I think it has been explained to you very well on the article talk page that why the content you are trying to add is not suitable here at Wikipedia. And my edit at this article was not vandalism, you better read What is not vandalism. Please also read Wikipedia:Ownership of articles. -- SMS Talk 12:21, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I read your edit, it makes no sense to completely take the whole article down because you dont agree with it, if you have issues, than you should go to the talk page. I am not sure what your issues are with Sudhans, clearly they are a tribe in AJK, they have not much in common with Pakistanis or Indians, especially Punjabis. So if you have issues, than kindly put it on the talk page.

I have been editing for a long time so please dont threaten me rather you should be civil

What failed verification, can you tell me what you tried to verify, clearly, Sardar Ibrahim Khan was the first President of AJK and he is a Sudhan, you can read it in his own book. "The Kashmir Saga".

I will appreciate if you could tell me what you are trying to verify. Also the other editor he just wiped out the whole article. I am looking forward to working with your to make this better, so I will appreciate your comments and exactly what you need verified and how.

Sardar Muhmmad Aziz Khan is a Sudhan, see "http://www.outlookindia.com/printarticle.aspx?225318" I hope this is a source you can trust. Normally Pakistan Army does not state the tribe a general or officer belongs to.

Hi Smsarmad, would you please tag for deletion, I have gone through all sources,(though I edited several times the article) non of those establish the notability of the subject, there are two reliable sources, that do not write about the subject, just the issue of the blasphemy, rest are trivial and insignificant to support the notability of the subject, I believe. As I am not much familiar how to tag for deletion, I need your assistance in this regard, please first take a look at the sources. Thanks. Justice007 (talk) 09:03, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Justice. I have reviewed the article and agree with you about the subject's notability. So I have nominated it for deletion through the AfD process. Regards -- SMS Talk 11:51, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The Taliban and the Crisis of Afghanistan

Am I missing something here? p102 says, Bhutto admitted that Pakistan had trained the Taliban in Pakistan with financial aid from the US. I cannot see page 101 on preview. Darkness Shines (talk) 19:51, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I will quote from the two books the para I am referring to, but please give me sometime, I am a little occupied in the real world. -- SMS Talk 07:00, 24 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes Benazir admitted that Taliban were given training by Pakistan and the following quoted text that precedes explains it. Here, from the title book, I am going to bold out any text that I find most relevant to our discussion
Will quote from the other book later. --SMS Talk 19:06, 24 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Can you take this to the Talk:Taliban so that we can have a centralized discussion at one place? Mar4d (talk) 09:21, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

News paper

Can you explain why you consider news papers as in reliable sources. If papers in Pakistan and India are in reliable than why is nyt reliable. A news paper is independent and thus in of itself reliable. If there are two news reports both contradictory than both should be listed, rather than as u did taking out the reference completelyHeman (talk) 19:35, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

We can never say that any publication by a source is reliable, we need to analyze each publication on case to case basis given where and for what it is used. -- SMS Talk 19:45, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have no idea what you are getting at, saying we need to analyze. Even on a tv news show they put up both papers.

Adnan1216 (talk) 21:09, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

So u think Pakistani news paper like dailytimes is not established. So how do you think anything is established. So rather than taking out the reference as you did with rawind, it should have been left in.

I am not sure why you are taking everything so personally, it is not personal. In reference to the other edits you have done the same thing, for example on the rawalakot news paper, u referenced notability but that was subjective, and even than it was notable.

Finally, I think before reverting one should discuss

Adnan1216 (talk) 21:07, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sometimes the unsourced content is so problematic that we can't leave it with a citation needed tag. -- SMS Talk 21:26, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ghulam

You undid my edits pls explain what is not referenced, the references were just fine, unless you personally bought the Pakistan book referenced here from 1950 something, you have no idea what it says. The reference is as I said establishing PCM as successor to the old company.

Adnan1216 (talk) 21:14, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

More than half of the article is without a reference. -- SMS Talk 21:23, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ok I will review and see which is not referred.

I am confused are u the same person as SMS, as you have changed your signature. You did not explain about why u god rid of the reference from the govt of Pakistan, is that not releiable

Adnan1216 (talk) 21:26, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please provide the diff of the edit you are talking about and also read WP:HOUNDING. -- SMS Talk 21:29, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You took out the reference, with pretty terse remarks, that is un called for, you should be civil. I read your edits, you have hundreds of edits, most are just annoying. Here you know the edits, they concerned references, and you took them out. Furthermore, you feel that news papers are not reliable

I will appreciate if you would mellow a bit

Adnan1216 (talk) 21:37, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know what you are talking about but you may like to report me for that uncivil behavior at WP:ANI. -- SMS Talk 21:39, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No need for that, only little kids run to the teacher at everytime they have an issue. I dont go around filing reports, I know you do. In any case, your edit this page was improper, you took out referenced material and the references, all because you feel that that have any value. Furthermore,I looked at your history, and it seems that after you got into with true something, you went to each of the editors pages and made changes and requested that they be deleted, that is what hounding refers to. References should not be taken out. If you have issues put it on the talk page.

I happen to be a muslim from Kashmir and dont like to get into arguments over something that is not important

Adnan1216 (talk) 21:56, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have given explanation for each of my edit, you will see it only if you care to read and avoid useless arguments. Also avoid making false accusations. -- SMS Talk 22:00, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your explanation does not state much, all its stated was not sourced, no notable, rather if you had actually read the sources, you would have found what was written. I dont make false accusations, I state facts. Must be really cold in Jersey. Stay Warm. What your edit to Dhaily Dharti about, clearly that was hounding. Adnan1216 (talk) 22:10, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hounding? Who did I hound? -- SMS Talk 22:13, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Technology is wonderful, all you have to do is check your own history it cant be changed. The facts are there. Also why are you calling the sourced edit to Maryam Nawaz as unsourced. It is sourced and if you want maybe a third party mediator should look into it, not one of your group friends.

Adnan1216 (talk) 22:15, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
