I removed what you said I removed because there are no sources to back that piece of information and is rather biased.
Clearly out of date and biased since there has not been any instance of Al-Douri advocating for separation of Iraq into Sunni and Shia only states.

Need your guidance
Hello Jim. I noticed that you recently reverted edits on article Sajin Vass Gunawardena. Well I did the same yesterday and have been getting bombarded ever since. Let me clarify before I proceed; I am NOT requesting you to interfere in WP:ANI discussing and talk on my behalf; all I am trying to do is get an independent opinion on the matter.
I reported matter on ANI as I found certain action objectionable and questionable. Well, as expected, I did not get a satisfactory answer and have hence raised further points. In the meanwhile, it will be helpful for me if you can guide me on
- a) If the article was updated as per WP:NPOV guidelines? I checked and found no issues.
- b) If the contents (except the mention of Sajin begs forgiveness) were properly sourced and could have been maintained in the page?
- c) If the admin was right in revoking my rights when I had not even violated WP:3RR rule?
- d) If reasons given for content blanking by Admin were correct and justified?
Please try and help me out. Cheers AKS
Re your work on the 'effective stress' section
Dear Jim,
Regarding the 'effective stress' section, much of the information are wrong.
1. The reference given was wrong (i checked it in the library, Terzaghi's works were on different pages, and even in those pages, he did not explicitly define effective stress. Please refer to Terzaghi's works in either 1923 or 1936.
2. The analogy of adding and removing water to the spheres contains several mistakes. e.g. if you keep adding more water, hydrostatic pressure at the bottom of the pile would keep increasing (see triangular distribution of hydrostatic water profile). Effective stress stays constant because total stress increases by the same amount. Also, if you remove water, effective stress may not change at all if the spheres collection are allowed to change its volume.
3. Effective stress is the stress that controls the shear strength and stress-strain behaviours of geomaterials (refer to basic soil mechanics textbook). The concept of effective stress itself can be made much more fundamental (refer to the works of Biot or Coussy)
Please redo the entire section.
Best regards, Liam.
Meranau
Meranau recalls the tradition of the fabled kingdom of Bembaran as the origin of the people and of the towns therein. Tradition claim that the Meranau descended from Bantugen of the fabled kingdom of Bembaran, some believed is the present day Lake Lanao, while a few scholars point of Cabadbaran of Agusan based on geographical explanations provided in the Darangen, Meranau epic. The myth around the destruction of Bembaran remain sorouded, yet many believed a great volcanic eruption of Mount Makaturing completely erased the kingdom from the face of the earth and in place of Kiaranda a ragat,Tiongcop a Layagen- the present Lake Lanao.
Tradition claims that at the time of the destruction, a brother of four were out on a hunting safari. The brothers reached kamanga, a village at the edge of a forest in what is now Dakudau Mapantao Bubong. Learning the event that befall the fabled Kingdom of Bembaran, the brothers agreed to build their own kingdoms on what is now the two Lanao provinces. Butuanen Kalinan, the eldest of the four chose the largest area stretching from the municipality of Marantao on the northwest side of the Lake to the northern part going to the east of the rimming mountain and towards the southeast. This was the principality of Bayabao. The inggued or towns comprising Bayabao are the present day non-municpality and municipalities of Marantao, Saguiaran, Baudi-Puso Bentong, Piagapo, Maguing, Bembaran, Wao, Lembabayabao, Poonabayabao, Ditsaan-Ramain, Bubong and Marawi City. The second brother, Dimaampao Kalinan, to take Principality of Onayan, now comprised by the municipalities of Butig, Lumbayanague, Macadar,Lembac a unayan,Dumalundong,Lumbatan, Bayang, Tubaran, Binidayan, Marogong, Ganassi, Paulas, Madamba, Kalanogas, Sultan Gumander,Maganding, Malabang, Balabagan, Kapatagan and Karomatan.
The third brother, Batara Kilaten, chose the area around the southwest-southeaster side to the northwest side across the lake. This is the Principality of Masiu (formerly Zainun) composed of present-day municipalities of Taraka, Molundo, Tamparan, Masiu, Madalum, Munai, Kalawi-Bacolod, Tugaya and Balindong.
Amerogong Topa-an, the fourth brother took the northwest side across the Agus river down to Iligan bay and called the Principality of Balo-I, now composed of the municipalities of Pantar,Tagoloan, Balo-I, Matenggao, Pantao-Ragat, Poona Piagapo, Tangcal, Magsaysay, Lapayan, Kauswagan,Linamon, Bacolod, Maigo, Kolambugan and Iligan City. The traditional principality is now located mostly in Lanao del Norte.
The four principalities is to the Meranaus the Pat A Phangampong Ko Ranao (Literary means four Kingdom of Pangampong a Ranau), built on the Igma Ago Taritib (Order and Consensus) among the founding fathers, this is the unwritten constitution that binds the Meranau since then up to the present. To safeguard the agreement, the forefathers instituted the Maratabat or Meranau psychology that is deeply ingrained in the cultural matrix. The origin maybe mythical but the operation of the Phangampong and adherence to the consensus remain alive and sustained. The coming of Islam to Lanao is contingent to the coming of Islam to Sulu and Maguindanao during the 14th century. Sharif Kabungsuan who descended from a line of missionaries tracing lineage to Prophet Muhammad, first reached Maguindanao and proceeded to Lanao. The Salsila or genealogy is zealousy guarded recording line of descent from Prophet Muhammad. The other Arab missionary, Sharif Alawi also came to Ranau by way of Taguloan, now the municipality of Taguloan in the province of Misamis Oriental.
Thus, the coming of Islam to Ranau further sustained the already existing principalities thereby further claiming affinity to the Muslim world. The ethno-linguistic matrix of the Meranau finds strong affinity to that of the Maguindanao of the Cotabato provinces and the Ilanun, who settled partly in Maguindanao and in Lanao. The Meranau claim that Irannun group, from the Meranau word Iranaun or from the Lake region, were actually Meranau who ventured to trade in the flourishing Sulu-China trade route cutting across Malaysia and Indonesia. Recorded History cites that the Sulu sultanate employed Illannun mariners in their trade. Many of the Illanuns who reached Sabah and other areas in Borneo settled in these places. Hence, to this day there are groups there who are still referred to as Illanun and traces descent to the Ilannun in both Maguindanao and Ranau of Meranau called in latin word Maranao people.
Red Granite Pictures
Actually,I thought it's ok to put it in Red Granite Pictures page. Does it violate any wikipedia policy if I put it in Red Granite Picture wiki page instead of Riza Aziz page? If not then I will just edit it there in Red Granite Picture wiki page. The one is Riza Aziz wiki page,I'm still having discussion with other users.I've decided to remove the on in Riza Aziz wiki page and choose to put it in Red Granite Pictures wiki page. If everything ok and I did not violate wikipedia policy then I will leave it it Red Granite Pictures wiki page.If I do please be specific on which policy I violate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PVCfiredauz (talk • contribs)
You reverted my USER page!
Oh for heaven's sake. It's a USER page! It's not an encyclopedia page! I was promoting no business nor any commercial activity; I was helping others who wanted to know more about me, the USER!
I see nothing in the guideline page you sent me that indicates they should apply to user pages. Are you saying I should waste bandwidth and make maintenance harder by wholesale copying from other places, rather than linking to them? That's okay if your thing is hummingbirds, I guess...
Now if someone saw fit to create a page about me in the main namespace, I could see your concern.
I did a search for "user page guidelines," and saw nothing.
Do you really think the guidelines for main namespace pages should apply to individuals' personal User: pages? If so, I'm simply going to delete mine. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jan Steinman (talk • contribs) to jim 1138: NO
All Saints Anglican School
Hi,
I'm the person who edited Cody Simpson into the article 'All Saints Anglican School'. I'm going to ask have you ever been to this school or not? I knew Cody well and he use to go to All Saints Anglican School with me. If you want a source, here is a simple one. This link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyMlA1kN7lw is the year 7 awards night finale. I was watching at the front row. Here is also another link which shows that Cody Simpson use to go to All Saints Anglican School: http://codysimpson.weebly.com/about-cody.html I still live in the Gold Coast, most people miss him including his friends. I hope these links will prove to you that Cody goes to ASAS.
Thanks, ASAS past student.
PS: Don't forget to put back my edit about Cody Simpson going to ASAS under 'Famous People'.
Please Answer
I eagerly await your response to our previous discussion. :)

Could you weigh in on this article? Over the last 1-2 years this has been a very hotly contended article and recently some rollback/reversion has been done by SamSailor. This rollback has been done without discussion or consensus. Samsailor removed new material provided by Macauthor based on valid media outlets. As I understand the rules of Wikipedia this edit warring. macauthor and I have asked for an explanation on the article talk page and samsailor's talk page with no response in almost 2 weeks. - @MrTownCar: & @Macauthor: as the article seems to be primarily a biography of a living person (BLP), I would suggest you post your complaint re: @Sam Sailor: and @Harizotoh9: on Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard (BLPN). Remember to notify the individuals you are discussing. Instructions are at the top of the BLPN page. I would strongly suggest reading biographies of living persons, verifiability, and reliable sources before proceeding. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 18:12, 12 March 2014 (UTC)

Splatter film
Hi Jim, The article 'Splatter Film' was flagged as containing numerous points without references - these were conjectural value judgements about which films are influential. So, I removed them to leave the facts (cited material) in tact. As Wikipedia's remit has it, 'ncyclopedic content must be verifiable'. I didn't leave a summary log accidentally - I clicked back to retrieve a reference that I had accidentally removed : I was about to restore it when you undid my changes. I now don't know how to retrieve the edits I made. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.132.211.5 (talk) 08:44, 15 March 2014 (UTC)

Yes Jim, I am aware I removed some other citations, but unless the main points of contention are substantiated (which they were not), those additional citations are meaningless. No bibliographic conflicts were caused by removing the additional citations. I have re-edited and added a report log to explain my changes — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.132.211.5 (talk) 08:57, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
Correction in UKRAINE section of RUSSIFIED Names
Hi Jim1138,
I am new to this, so if u can help then that would be great :0) The changes I am trying to make are in the Ukraine section. I noticed that all the names used are still the Russian (or "Russified") names that reflect the "Russification" process of WW2, etc. I know what names are correct because I am a Ukrainian native speaker. But for documentation purposes you can verify that the correct Ukrainian names were officially recognized by the US State Dept in 1997 (I do not know the exact document number). There is an excellent article that refers to exactly this issue in the following newspaper article:
http://www.evalleyvoice.com/docs/ValleyVoiceJune2011.pdf
Please scroll down to page 4 to read it. Thus, other names that should be corrected, for example are:
Lvov should be LVIV
Ternopol should be TERNOPIL
Chernobyl should be CHORNOBYL
etc-etc
These changes should also be made in the main block of INFO on Ukraine (at top-right), so that the capital is correctly listed as "Kyiv" (and NOT as Kiev). This would mean also correcting the sections/pages on Kyiv alone, as well as the pages for the "Chornobyl Nuclear Accident" (which still also uses the incorrect Russian name of "Chernobyl")
These may seem like minor trivialities, but if Wikipedia is to continue to be the excellent resource it is, then this needs to happen.... and it seems only fair to the millions of Ukrainians around the world to whom these names 'belong' (much as we would not want names of US cities to be listed only in Icelandic ;0). In light of recent events in Ukraine, I think these correction take on a special sense of immediacy when one considers the struggle Ukraine currently is facing against Russian aggression. The names, like those of any country, are a viatl part of their innate identity.
Being a novice, I'm not sure I'm the right person to do these changes, but perhaps you and your people have someone who is adept at doing what is probably an easy cut/replace (for thos who know how to do such things).
Thank you in advance for your kind help!

- Common English names are used. See WP:COMMONNAME. Official or alternate names can be added to an article of that topic, but probably shouldn't be added to other articles unless it helps clarify. The common English names should be used, otherwise people will not know what is being talked about. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 09:33, 15 March 2014 (UTC)

Johny Hendricks's reach
Hi. Regarding my change to Johny Hendricks's article (changed reach to 69 inches), my source was the UFC production notes for UFC 171. I know it's difficult to list this as a source but the tale of the tape for the main event in UFC 171 showed that 69 inches is the correct reach for Hendricks. How can I support this change in the article? (the reach that is showing right now, 71 inches, is incorrect and has no source supporting it) Psycho-Krillin (talk) 16:23, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
- Psycho-Krillin: It does seem that the majority favors 69", wish the search results were more consistent. Kind of wonder if Hendricks' reach is 71", but his manager is trying to get it publicized as 69" to make his opponents over-confident. Shifting birth years for actresses seems quite common. If you do a search on "Johny Hendricks reach 69" as well as "Johny Hendricks reach 71" you will get hits on both. Bloodyellow: 71" Bloodyellow: 69". espn: 69" espn: 69" It's a little confusing, but it tends to lean toward 69". Maybe use the last ESPN ref? Best to use a reference for something like this as there seems to be much edit warring on this kind of stuff. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Please change it as you see fit, but do add a reference! Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 17:21, 16 March 2014 (UTC)

Energetically Modified Cement
I saw your comments regarding COI and I am sorry to trouble you.
I can assure you, I have no connection at all with EMCs. I am simply bringing the level of the page to a higher standard of science with my background in material sciences. This page lives with the facts that the discovery of the technology is connected to one university in Sweden and the process became patented. In order to bring balance, there are no explicit references to the company (other than its official website) or any patent. There is even no reference at all to the process even being patented.
Before xmas, a user called maproom made a number of comments regarding the need to establish more about why the process yielded the improvements documented. Another user voiced the same concerns. As a result I spent about 10 hours writing about concrete chemistry. It then turned out maproom did not know the difference between cement and concrete (that's fine, and hopefully he learned something). After the extensive content about concrete chemistry was added, the second user stated they were satisfied with the changes made.
After about 2.5 months "silence" the latest raft of criticisms started. Again centering that the page did not explain the process. I made further edits. Then, the user Karl (who account shows intense activity virtually only on this page) started making a number of assertions which are just completely "off the scale". There is no need to even begin taking the comments because it is obvious that anyone with a sound grounding in material science would not raise these issues. Some of the accusations made have been simply outrageous. But i do not have the time to answer them. It is simply too distracting and time consuming.
- In time, Karl's comment have become more extreme. In particular he has made statements about Ronin being a "director" of the company. I do not know this. But when I ask where is this stated, he says "on the website". But it isn't. I have searched the website now three times. When asked to show where it is stated, he then states it is stated in PDFs available from the website. Well, again I have looked - and this is not evident either. I cannot find a single PDF.
- He then makes comments about EMCs being Portland cement. This is absolutely not true.
- Then he states that "the Australians did this first". I ask him several times to back this up so that it can be considered and if necessary included on the page. But he never responds.
The entire tone, lack of precision, unsubstantiated assertions leads me to beleive he is connected to the Portland cement industry. Or, may be he has a bad experience of working with Ronin. It is all very odd. Why I wonder if Karl is in COI.
I want to add there are solid technical reasons as to why there is only a certain "level" to which I am prepared to explain the "EMC Activation" process. This is nothing to do with my lack of understanding the subjects involved in order to provide an explanation. I could do this. But, it is simply that beyond a certain level, one is in danger of crossing the threshold into original research. And I am very concerned that because of this limitation, users who do not understand the restrictions on original research will keep requiring the unwritable. As it is, today I have sent three hours wring on the tribochemical background giving rise to the theory behind the process. But, there are legitimate limits imposed by Wikipedia itself regarding original research.
Thank you for reading this if you did
Kind regards

Article section abuse
Hello
Yesterday I disputed an article's section (PIA: Fleet) which kept getting abused. I put 'dispute' in section and made an edit on talk page of PIA at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Pakistan_International_Airlines, listing abuse section. The abuser, Naveed245, keeps abusing fleet section of PIA article. He is not referencing his edits and over riding my edits, which have references. Moreover, he makes multiple edits every time which makes it hard for me as i can't undo, and have to redo section manually every time. I'm citing official website and news article from reputable press.
Please tell me what to do. He removed the dispute warning from artivle and did not reply on talk page of PIA under dispute section. I tried to look up his edits to see if i can provide references (thinking he may be right), but he's getting those info from an unoffical-fan created PIA facebook page. Thus, it has ample of uncited and false info.
I tried to warn him many times, left message on his talk page. I tried everything possible i know of, but he won't give up. I checked his edits on other artivles, where he also posts uncited and false info (e.g, Malaysia airline crashed in south china sea when it hasn't been confirmed).

- Jim1138Thanks for reply. Am I doing something wrong? I don't want to get banned as the purpose of my edits are to give actual info than preferred or rumored info. I had left him message on talk page, but no response.
So should I fix article or leave it as-is (with wrong information)? If i fix it, the next day he'll undo it and I'll have yo repeat process again.... Uabbas92 (talk) 04:53, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- Jim1138I think Naveed is doing The three-revert rule thing. He should be banned for 24 hours? He did 4 edits under 24 hours... Accidentally I did the same trying to fix the vandalism.
- Uabbas92 No need to ping me on my own talk page. I would recommend staying away for a bit. You shouldn't have to worry about a block. I would recommend putting an invitation to discuss PIA directly on Naveed's talk page. Also, ping Naveed every time you leave a message on talk:PIA. Take a look at wp:dispute resolution to familiarize yourself with the process. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 05:30, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- Jim1138He did it again.. I want to talk in dispute, but he keeps removing dispute banner nor replying on talk page. He's not responding to my messages... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Uabbas92 (talk • contribs) 23:09, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- {{@|Jim1138} So I followed your advice. It was not the right one. My dispute was closed and I was referred to yet another place. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment/Naveed245 is where I opened dispute about user conduct. Now it requires both parties to respond. HE DOES NOT RESPOND! God's sake man. I am trying to do the right job here, giving citation and I have to beg the guy to come and talk on PIA page, leave messages on his page, get mods to get him to communicate. If he's not interested and CAN NOT follow the rules (no edit summary, no citation, ruining undo option), why do I have to jump around and do the right thing? So much for democracy at wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Uabbas92 (talk • contribs) 22:17, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
No thanks on the help
Jim, thanks for trying to be helpful, but no, I do not actually need your help. I made an appropriate edit which was incorrectly flagged by another user as vandalism. That does not mean I need a giant, colorful box of links to help topics on my user page. I am learning a lot about the culture of Wikipedia, though, and the tendency for people to try to help so quickly that they end up being less than helpful in practice. No need to add any more links, graphics, or generic advice to my user page in response to this.! Claudiaalismaki (talk) 04:49, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- Claudiaalismaki It's your talk page so you are free to remove most anything. People who feel the need to communicate with you (within reason of course) are allowed to post there. See Wikipedia:User pages for info on that. If someone requests a citation, you should provide one or discuss why it's not needed. BTW: that's your "user talk page", your "user page" is here: user:Claudiaalismaki Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 04:54, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
I understand that people are allowed to talk there, and I never said you aren't allowed to. I can't figure out a way to remove the thing you added at the top and would rather it not be there. So I'm hoping you will honor my request not to insert anything like that again. Thanks for understanding. For clarification, the user that reverted my edit did not request a citation. It's not really helpful to get advice that doesn'thave anything to do with the issue at hand. Claudiaalismaki (talk) 04:59, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- Claudiaalismaki You can either click on "View history" at the top of your talk page and click "Undo" on my edit, or you can edit the page, select what you don't want, (everything if you wish), delete it, and save the page. If you wish, I can remove it for you. A primer on editing can be found here: Help:Editing Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 05:05, 19 March 2014 (UTC)

Dear fellow I am really really worried about biology section of wikipedia becoz few users have interest in it and they be easily vandalized. Please put as much biology articles as possible under your watchlist including Pinacocyte,Pinacoderm, choanocyte, Choanoderm,Ostia(Sponges).Septate (talk) 15:00, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
User management
Hi Jim1138,
About the user Ijggak, my user (I created it), I just wanted to remove it or, at least, remove the data what I have written as a description. Could this be performed, please?
If not the user removed, at least, removed the data.

Before deleting POMG I recommend you read it to see if it is valid. Thank you for your careful consideration. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.126.249.33 (talk) 12:38, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
Dear Jim,
Can you please PROTECT the article on SALVATORE CUFFARO. It is being repeatedly vandalized by CIVA. I have reverted his last changes but he keeps vandalizing it. CUFFARO is a convicted criminal and he is spending his time in jail for mafia association. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.195.245.13 (talk) 17:02, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
JIM,
The vandal has put in the infobox at the voice profession : politician and doctor ( not former politician, and as for the doctor cuffaro has been expelled from the medical order)
I am feeling bored and disapponted by all this... you know what... maybe let's the mafia have their way. ( in the end who cares about having a correct an unbiased information ) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.195.245.13 (talk) 17:48, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
- In wikipedia Italy accuse me of being against Cuffaro, here in favor. Just as well...--Civa61 (talk) 19:01, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
Jim, you have nothing to apologize, CIVA is well known in italian circles together with other people of the so-called wikimafia.
Anyway you might have noticed that the above mentioned guy has just deleted the conviction charges.
Cuffaro has been definitely convicted by the Supreme Court for aiding and abetting the mafia, and that sentence is final (2011). The sentence from (2012) in a lower court and another trial refers to the application of the principle of "Ne bis in idem" to the effect that no legal action can be instituted "twice" for the same cause of action, Cuffaro beign already convivicted for the very same facts could not be tried and convicted again in another trial for the same facts. ( ne bis idem). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.195.245.13 (talk) 19:44, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
- Civa will be well known but not spear mud, and hides behind an anonymous. --Civa61 (talk) 20:43, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
Dear Jim,
I must confess I am a bit tired. And as I have mentioned before I know for a fact CIVA has not even the remotest intention of improving on the article but just "blanking out" essential parts related to Cuffaro's criminal history. I think CIVA should be at least temporarily blocked from doing further edits on this specific article, and possibly from all mafia related articles.
You might have noted all his edits with no exception on this specific article are aimed at "embellish" the matter of fact that Cuffaro is a mafia convicted guy, kinda sprinkling a bit of "sugar" here and there, omitting data and giving misleading information. Let's see what I can do to straigthen the record. Jim can I also contact you privately by mail ?
PS. I am not so much into wikipedia technicalities, like "pinging" an user and so on, the reason why I am not involved in this project is exactly due to these italian wiki-mafia, guys like CIVA, tampering against any objective data. It is awful. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.195.245.13 (talk) 21:23, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
CIVA : PROBLEMATIC USER
Jim, as I told you I am not into wikipedia technicalities.
As you might have noticed I stopped editing on Cuffaro's article even if in its current state it is missing key data due to the intervention of CIVA in order to avoid further confrontation with that disgusting individual, but I would like at least to report him as a problematic user.
May I ask you what is the procedure to report CIVA as a "problematic user" ? Thanks for your help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.195.245.13 (talk) 22:13, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
- Truly those who is a "problematic user" in wikipedia.it and blocked it was 88.195.245.13 [1]. --Civa61 (talk) 23:20, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
Plone cloning question
Phone cloning allows you to find out information about anybody if you can steal their phone for a few minutes in order to clone the sim. (Example, forgetting your phone in your car, then the bad guy uses a slimjim to unlock you door and copy your sim.) Once you have the sim cloned you can listen to other people's voice messages and SMS by cloning their sim? true or false? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.255.205.112 (talk • contribs)
