Jim Ross Meskimen (born September 10, 1959) is an American comedian, impressionist, and actor. He is known for his work on the improvisation show Whose Line Is It Anyway?, and as a voice artist for animation and video games.

Personal life

Meskimen was born in Los Angeles, California, the son of actors Marion Ross and Freeman Meskimen.[1] Meskimen married Tamra Shockley Meskimen in 1987. They have one daughter, Taylor, born in 1990. He is a Scientologist.[2]

Career

Meskimen portrayed the father of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's characters in the 2000 direct-to-video film Our Lips Are Sealed. He has also portrayed the role of Officer Wholihan in the 2000 film How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

He voices Thom Cat, Neighbor John, and Stumpy in the "Thom Cat" short on Random! Cartoons and several different characters in the 2012 video game, Lego The Lord of the Rings. He is the voice of President George W. Bush and other politicians for the internet Jib Jab animated shorts. Also in 2012, he voices and motion captures the former CIA chairman David Patraeus on Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

Meskiman was a contestant on season eight of America's Got Talent. He has also toured various U.S. cities performing a one-man act, entitled "Jimpressions", of celebrity impersonations and original characters.
