Surbhi Jyoti is an Indian television and theatre actress. She played the lead role of Zoya Farooqui (2012-2014) on the soap opera Qubool Hai and now plays Sanam Ahmed Khan (2014-Present) on the same show opposite actor Karanvir Bohra.[1] Her onscreen pair with Karan Singh Grover was highly appreciated.[2]
Before appearing in films and TV shows, Jyoti started doing theatre in 2007 in college. After her theatre experience she was offered her first TV role in a Punjabi show, Akiyaan To Door Jayen Na. She then appeared in the film Ik Kudi Punjab Di. After doing the role of Priyanka in Munde Patiale De, Jyoti landed her first lead role as Reet in the 2012 movie Raula Pai Gaya. She also appeared as one of the leads in the Punjabi social drama Kach Diyan Wanga.
Jyoti was born in Jalandhar, Punjab. [3]
