License tagging for Image:Martinilattices.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Martinilattices.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Proposed deletion of Water retention on mathematical surfaces

The article Water retention on mathematical surfaces has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

About a problem in a programming contest, per the first link in the external links, although it's seemingly defunct as the link to the contest site doesn't work. If the contest itself or the person who runs it (Al Zimmerman) aren't notable than one of the problems certainly isn't. No reliable sources, and COI concerns as seemingly the work of one of the solution authors.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

Torquato

Could you, please, verify my today's changing of the reference to Torquato's paper for percolation threshold for 2D continuous aligned squares? PRE paper deals with randomly oriented objects, so it could not be the correct reference. 156.17.58.23 (talk) 08:58, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
