Requests for registration
Request for permissions archives |
Please read the guide on the main page before requesting permission. In applying for AWB access, you indicate that you will abide by its terms.
Also, this page is for requesting AWB Access for this wiki (English Wikipedia) only. Other projects have their own check pages and you should ask administrators there to add you.
Please add your name to the bottom of the appropriate list (user or bot) on this page below using *
. Enter your user name exactly as the software displays it, for example in the 'Basic information' section of your preferences. Do not use underscores instead of spaces or change the case of the first letter. Note that all usernames begin with an uppercase letter or a symbol.
{{AWBUser|your username}}
~~~~~
If the list contains undecided entries that are over 48 hours old, please change
to {{noadminbacklog}}
at the top of this page.
{{adminbacklog}}
Note that users with under 500 mainspace non-automated edits are rarely approved. You can check your contributions in each namespace at Tool Labs. You only need to give a reason for wanting AWB access if you have fewer than 500 mainspace non-automated edits. Administrators are automatically approved and do not need to list themselves.
If approved, your name will be added to the CheckPage. If you will make many or fast automated edits using AWB, you may wish to use a separate (or bot) account for the purpose.
- Marlisco (talk • contribs • non-automated contribs • wikichecker • count • total • logs • page moves • block log • email) Intended to use this to correct some outdated links. Looking forward to do more on becoming familiar with the tool. 04:28, 18 November 2014 (UTC)
- Not done The bulk of your edits are page moves for Indian highway articles. The criteria that administrators are asked to evaluate your edit history against is that you have made at least 500 non-automated, mainspace edits—those edits show good judgement in editing, not just in buttons clicking. —Tom Morris (talk) 15:38, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
- Page movements were a recent activity and I have done non-automated edits before that. If my edit history won’t talk for me I don’t recommend myself. I request any one who has that right to contribute towards the work on National Highways. Please see Talk:National Highway 1D (India)(old numbering) for the context. Marlisco (talk) 06:37, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
- User Marlisco is helping to improve WP:INR by updating the with renumbering of National Highways. I dont understand the logic of denying the AWB -- naveenpf (talk) 15:20, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
- Cirt (talk • contribs • non-automated contribs • wikichecker • count • total • logs • page moves • block log • email) Would like to be able to use AWB for work on my WP:GA and WP:FA Quality improvement projects. Thank you, 16:11, 18 November 2014 (UTC).
- HullIntegrity (talk • contribs • non-automated contribs • wikichecker • count • total • logs • page moves • block log • email) I would like to use AWB for edits on student projects pages. HullIntegrity (talk) 03:40, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
- Clarification: I would like to use AWB for clean-up on articles produced or heavily edited by my students (over 100 per year) as well as articles in the Children's Literature category in general. HullIntegrity (talk) 16:45, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
- Cptnono (talk • contribs • non-automated contribs • wikichecker • count • total • logs • page moves • block log • email) I've worked on multiple FA, GA, and new articles. I see that one of the first edits made by other editors is with AWB. 08:54, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
- EoRdE6 (talk • contribs • non-automated contribs • wikichecker • count • total • logs • page moves • block log • email) I am interested in improving Wikipedia and learning how to use AWB. I believe I meet the edit requirements, and my editing history will show no past issues. Thanks! 19:43, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
- Not done Your recent history of block evasion, edit warring, etc. don't fill me with trust --Guerillero | My Talk 19:47, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
- Ekips39 (talk • contribs • non-automated contribs • wikichecker • count • total • logs • page moves • block log • email) Every so often I go around replacing raster images with vector ones (per c:Commons:Transition to SVG) and it would be nice to be able to do it faster, since it can get rather tedious and I've already resorted to find/replace in OpenOffice on more than one occasion. I'm somewhat sporadic in this respect, but it can't hurt anything, and I might do other more conventional stuff too if I can figure out how. 00:15, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
- Done this seems reasonable enough --Guerillero | My Talk 19:53, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
- Kautilya3 (talk • contribs • non-automated contribs • wikichecker • count • total • logs • page moves • block log • email) I am planning to use it for WP:WikiProject India/Assessment/Tag & Assess 2014 campaign. Kautilya3 (talk) 22:54, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
- Primefac (talk • contribs • non-automated contribs • wikichecker • count • total • logs • page moves • block log • email) been doing a lot of AfC cleanup, AWB would make condensing references a lot easier. 19:48, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
- Saadkhan12345 (talk • contribs • non-automated contribs • wikichecker • count • total • logs • page moves • block log • email) I'm not that interested in AWB but would like to use it for Electoral districts in Pakistan. 22:37, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
- Marcocapelle (talk • contribs • non-automated contribs • wikichecker • count • total • logs • page moves • block log • email) AWB has been suggested to use for mass re-categorization in Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2014_October_10#Christian_theologians_by_nationality.E2.80.8E. Marcocapelle (talk) 22:15, 23 November 2014 (UTC)
- Not done There are numerous category update bots already that would be able to complete this, you also do not have a linked bot request, additionally that discussion is trending oppose. — xaosflux Talk 16:24, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
