List of highest-grossing Telugu films
Telugu cinema, also known as Tollywood, consists primarily of motion pictures produced in the Telugu language in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Known for being commercially consistent,[1] Telugu cinema, one of the largest film producers in India, had its influence over commercial cinema in India.[2]
As one of the revenue generating film industries, Telugu film production accounts for one percent of the gross domestic product of the region.[1][3][4] 1992 film Gharana Mogudu, directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, is the first Telugu film to gross over ₹ 10 crore at the box office.
The following is a list of the highest grossing Telugu films (including dubbed versions) based on world wide collections (gross and distributors share).[5]
