Telugu cinema, also known as Tollywood, consists primarily of motion pictures produced in the Telugu language in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Known for being commercially consistent,[1] Telugu cinema, one of the largest film producers in India, had its influence over commercial cinema in India.[2]

As one of the revenue generating film industries, Telugu film production accounts for one percent of the gross domestic product of the region.[1][3][4] 1992 film Gharana Mogudu, directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, is the first Telugu film to gross over 10 crore at the box office.

The following is a list of the highest grossing Telugu films (including dubbed versions) based on world wide collections (gross and distributors share).[5]
