Martin T. Sherman (born November 28, 1966) was a British-based American actor, who has starred in several films and television, as well as providing the voice for several video games. From 2009 to 2015, Sherman voiced Thomas and Percy and 2013 to 2015 he voiced Diesel in the US version of the television series Thomas & Friends.

Departure from Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends

In 2014, It was announced that he will leave his role from Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends due to contractual disagreements with the Thomas and Friends production crew, He announced his departure in a SIF Blog in July. In the post, he claimed that he was to be feeling exploited and he complained about the low wage the series was paying on him. He apologized to any fans who might be affected by his departure.

Later that month, in an interview of The Guardian, he stated that HiT Entertainment had threatened him with legal action if the blog post was not removed. Sherman said he had felt so bullied and silenced and was reportedly seeking legal advice regarding the blogpost. The blogpost was now removed. In the same Guardian interview, HiT Entertainment refused to comment on the contracts it has with its talent and wished Martin Sherman the best in his future professional endeavours.

Martin T. Sherman will continue to be heard in the show until some time in 2015, It is unknown who will replace him.
