Brandi Love (born March 29, 1973) is the stage name of an American adult model and pornographic actress, as well as the co-owner and Chief Financial Officer of two multimedia companies. She is known for her work in the MILF and "Hot Wife" porn categories.

Career

Love started in the Adult industry in 2003 with the debut of her amateur website.[3] Then in 2008, Love started performing for Los Angeles production companies. Throughout her career as an adult film performer, she became known for her appearances in MILF and "Hot Wife" productions.[4]

In 2006, she collaborated with Gail Harris of Falcon Foto to form Naked Rhino Media, a multimedia company creating porn sites that feature exclusive niche-specific content.[5] Then in 2011 she began performing for adult studios. In 2014 it was announced that Kelly Madison Media was developing a new website for Love and would take part in the production of new content.[1]

Since 2011 Love has performed in productions for companies such as Brazzers, Girlfriends Films, Hustler Video, Tom Byron Pictures, and Wicked Pictures.[2] She is also the co-owner and Chief Financial Officer of No Rivals Media, a multimedia adult-entertainment company, with her husband Chris Potoski.[6]

In February 2015, she announced that she had signed a 12-scene deal with Brazzers that will mark the final performances of her porn career.[4][7] After effectively announcing her retirement from the adult business, Love would not reveal her future plans, but said that "it does involve real estate as well as the fashion industry."[5]

Appearances

In addition to her adult industry work, Love has made appearances on The Tyra Banks Show,[8] The Keith Ablow Show,[9] and The Howard Stern Show[10] as well as appearing on the Penn & Teller: Bullshit! episode on "The War on Porn".[11] She released her book, Getting Wild Sex from Your Conservative Woman, in 2008.[12]

Love appeared as herself on the reality television show Lizard Lick Towing in 2013.[13]

Other ventures

Love is also the CFO of WhyZoom Media.[1]

Advocacy

Love, as co-owner of No Limits (NR) Media, is the co-founder of an organization called Parents in Adult, an educational and legal support group for parents working in the adult industry. The organization's website provides parenting resources and discussion groups for members of the adult industry as well as a list of attorneys who are willing to provide legal representation.[6] Love and her husband were featured on the Howard Stern Show to discuss the group in 2005.[14][15]

In a 2006 appearance on The Tyra Banks Show, Love and her husband, along with Hugh Hefner and his three then-current girlfriends, were invited to debate the subject of open marriages in a segment titled "Is Monogamy Natural?" The segment matched them with a monogamous couple. Love and her husband had been in a twelve-year open marriage at the time of the show's taping.[8] Also in 2006, Love appeared with fellow adult film performer Savanna Samson on the Dr. Keith Ablow show.[9]

As a spokesperson and public speaker, Love has been invited to speak at a variety of venues. In March 2013 she spoke to groups of undergrad as well as graduate students in the East Carolina University Department of Sociology. Love lectured about the relevancy of alternative relationships and her position that in many cases, traditional marriage simply does not work. This was Love's third time speaking at the University. Professor of Sociology Dr. David Knox was quoted as saying about Love, "Brandi is an outstanding speaker, organized and engaging. She has spoken for two years to my human sexuality class on swinging/adult lifestyles and holds the room spellbound."[16]

Personal life

Love grew up in Dearborn, Michigan and attended Central Michigan University. She is granddaughter of stock trader Jesse Lauriston Livermore.[1] She married her husband, Chris Potoski, in 1995. They are residents of North Carolina. Love states that in 2001, she "came to [her] senses" and "regained [her] inner wild child" as she began to compete in bikini contests, became a stripper, and participate in the swinging lifestyle with her husband.[17]
