If you feel that I have reverted an edit or issued a warning in error, please let me know. I am human, and I do make mistakes. Please don't interpret an error on my part as a personal attack on you. It's not, I promise. I ask you to simply bring it to my attention; I am always open to civil discussion. Thank you. |
Re: Champions League article reverts
No worries, I was just reverted myself recently for adding that award to the last Champions League article, so I was familiar with the situation. Cheers. – PeeJay 17:19, 12 September 2015 (UTC)
Colegio San Bartolomé
Hi, Kethrus.
Why you reverted my edits? Do you know Spanish orthography? (referring to Colegio San Bartolomé la Merced) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rodriguma (talk • contribs) 18:36, 12 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Rodriguma: It would help if you linked me to the revision which I reverted so I could give you a reason. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 18:38, 12 September 2015 (UTC)
- Sorry but, do you revert and you don't know what you reverted and if you are right? And you didn't answer my question. Do you know Spanish orthography? -Rodriguma (talk) 18:47, 12 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Rodriguma: That isn't relevant. As it says on my user page I'm not afraid to be wrong. I was going by the page title - as many other Wikipedians would have. Primefac is moving the page shortly to show the correct name. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 18:50, 12 September 2015 (UTC)
- (edit conflict)Rodriguma, please be CIVIL when dealing with other users. Personal attacks are never a good way to proceed. While in this case you were correct that the "La" should have been capitalized, in the future please take any disputed edits to the talk page of the article in question. This way a discussion can be started and a solution found without resorting to name-calling and questioning other's intelligence. If you want more help, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 18:53, 12 September 2015 (UTC) (talk page stalker)

- Hi.
Kethrus: You confirmed why there are so many mistakes on the Wikipedia, facts and writing: orthography isn’t relevant!, at least for you. Or is it because is a Spanish word about a Third World school? Would you say that it’s irrelevant if somebody writes Harbard or Ocsford?
Somebody finds a mistake or adds something and then arrives another one who reverts to the error or erases the new part. Many times, I and others I talked with, readers did not correct errors because it becomes a time consuming “battle”.
Primefac: I only applied scientific method that Kethrus didn’t do. If somebody changes something I wrote, first I would check if the other one’s modification is correct. If it’s wrong, I would explain why it’s not correct instead to commit the mistake again. And in any case I would not revert to the error a second time.
“please be CIVIL when dealing with other users. Personal attacks are never a good way to proceed”. Is it uncivil to ask why somebody committed an error? I think really uncivil is to revert an edition and not even say hello. You should apply that you say. Personal attack is to say I am not civil because I ask why somebody writes a mistake.
About orthography, I presume you agree it’s irrelevant because you didn’t say a word to Kethrus but did a personal attack to me.
If I employed US manners (I don’t presume or assume you are from that country) where a gallant word is considered harassment, I would say you are discriminatory, harassing, racist, etc. But it only makes me smile… and waste time.
“take any disputed edits to the talk page of the article in question”. Please apply that you say, again. Look at that page. Many times I could see people did not answer those questions, maybe because they did not return to the page, maybe because they didn’t subscribe to it. It’s why I did that I did.
“questioning other's intelligence”. I didn’t do that. I only questioned the knowledge on the subject: Spanish orthography and the school.
“If you want more help, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance”. Thank you for those directions that may be useful for someone.
A question still is unsolved: Why Kethrus reverted a correct edition?
Finally, please excuse the mistakes I surely committed. I will accept and thank all corrections because I know my English is not good.

- Hi.
- @Rodriguma: Myself and Primefac discussed this in #wikipedia-en-help connect and made the decision to change the page name by moving it, as you have seen. I hope this is the end of the matter and you only contact me again if you wish to talk about something else, as you will not be responded to. I was going by the page title which I presumed to be correct, as would a lot of people. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 22:12, 12 September 2015 (UTC)

About Kim Chang-su(Masahide Kanayama)
[1] He's a real criminal of a continuous oil damage event of temples and shrines. But I can't write about this because he isn't reported by a real name in Japan news yet. It'll do nothing but be on a weekly magazine, and it's put out immediately by a Japanese edition. If English Wikipedia the same, I'll give up.--永続繁栄 (talk) 18:39, 13 September 2015 (UTC)
- @永続繁栄: The page was tagged by me under CSD G10 and subsequently removed by an administrator for being an attack page or negative unsourced BLP. As soon as it can be sourced and verified it will be able to be on the English AND Japanese Wikipedia. If you have an issue with the decision made, please contact the admin that removed the page (in this case it was Diannaa). --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 19:36, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

Legend Film 2015 - The Krays
Hi
I was adding a section about the inaccuracies of the film. Below is what I typed and please note it is backed up by an online review in The Guardian newspaper.
Maureen Flanagan, a close friend of the Kray family was interviewed by The Guardian newspaper about how accurate the portrayal of the twins in the movie was, and although she respected Hardy's performances as being more accurate than the Kemp brothers in the 1990 Kray's film she did question much of the storyline and relationship between the characters. The family of Frances Kray (nee Shea) were not happy with the portrayal of their family member nor were members of the Kray family on the inaccurate relationship between Reggie and Frances. Family members have stated that Reggie was more devoted to Frances than portrayed in the film and it was never known to either family that Reggie was ever physically abusive to her as shown in one scene in the film after a drunken Reggie confronts his wife in a bedroom. The murder scene of Jack "the hat" Mcvitie shows Jack taunting Reggie over the loss of his ex-wife and repeating her name which then triggers Reggie to murder him. There is no account of these words being spoken at all, and former gang members who were present in the room stated that Ronnie was encouraging his brother to finish Mcvitie off. The very final scene shows Reggie walking out of the house along a canal path when in fact he and his brother ordered their gang members to dispose of the body and calmly left together in a car. The ending of the film also shows the Kray's former financial advisor Leslie Payne seated dead in the back of a car, indicating that the twins had ordered his murder. Although in reality Ronnie Kray had tried to plan Payne's murder it never actually happened. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.145.41.254 (talk) 22:52, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

Request on 01:00:52, 14 September 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by Wygk
I don't understand why the citations for this article are not sufficient to identify the subject as notable:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:California_Mission_Walkers
It has been documented in the San Diego Union Tribune, the Los Angeles Times, and KPBS, as well as numerous websites relating to the California Missions. Would including these Mission-related websites as secondary sources be sufficient to meet the requirements?
Note that this subject also "connects" well with existing articles on El Camino Real California, Spanish Missions in California, and Camino de Santiago, each of which could reasonably link to the California Mission Walkers.
Wygk (talk) 01:00, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
- Wygk, the references you've provided don't really talk about CMW in any detail, they're mostly first-hand accounts of interactions with them. We need sources that talk about the CMW. You need to add at least a couple more independent reliable sources that talk specifically about CMW. If you want more help, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 01:15, 14 September 2015 (UTC) (talk page stalker)

References
I really don't know what else I need to do here. I have looked at several other game pages here on Wikipedia with literally 1 reference to their game's store page, and 1 reference to their official website and they get approved. What am I doing wrong here? It is extremely frustrating, can you please elaborate what I am doing wrong? I am sorry, I am not trying to sound snide. I just don't understand how other pages are doing the same thing, and getting OK'd, but this submission is declined.
Jenilya (talk) 03:11, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Jenilya: The issue isn't the lack of references, it's the lack of notability (the article doesn't say why it is notable). --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 03:16, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Kethrus: The reason it was declined is saying the references do not show notability. The reason is very confusing if that is the case, because it specifically says "the references". So what is the issue then? Are the references not showing notability, or is the article not showing notability? Jenilya (talk) 03:51, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Jenilya: Both I suppose, if the article doesn't contain anything that suggests it's notable, the references won't either. Adding more references would not hurt. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 03:53, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Jenilya: Update: I've just checked the article again, the sources aren't very good. Half of them are affiliated with Miscreated. There need to be more references independent to Miscreated from verifiable sources. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 03:57, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Kethrus: I have seen game pages with one paragraph and a link to their store page and website, and they are cleared for Wikipedia. I just don't fully understand how notability works, I find it confusing. There is a reference to the game on Steam, their Website, and PCGamer. I don't understand how those are "affiliated" with Miscreated directly. Steam is owned by Valve, and PCGamer is an independent company. Jenilya (talk) 04:02, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Jenilya: I'm really new to reviewing. Could you please provide me articles that have been accepted so I can take a look and possibly decide to change my decision? Another concern I have is the fact the article was removed a year ago for having no indication of significance. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 04:05, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Kethrus: I am sorry, I am not trying to give you a hard time. I am doing this at request, and I very new to writing on Wikipedia myself. That previous submission from over a year ago is extremely old, and I am not sure who wrote it. I can understand why it was declined, it had nothing in it. I have changed the article greatly if you compare the versions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jenilya (talk • contribs)
@Jenilya: If this is about the same game (which it appears to be) it might be worth adding that to the article and adding a reference to that, because that gives a little more significance to the article (in my eyes). I'll ask for a second opinion once this is done. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 04:17, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Kethrus: It is. Thank you for the advice, and you patience. I will add that. Jenilya (talk) 04:23, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Jenilya: It appears that you've finished that. Would you like to resubmit it or should I resubmit it as yourself? --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 04:44, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Kethrus: Thank you very much for your help. I apologize I didn't hit the resubmit button, it's late here and I was sort of dozing. Thank you again for your help. Jenilya (talk) 05:23, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

I have fixed the citations, so they better reflect the sources, 2 of which are for national newspapers in their respective countries. One you would have to verify through microfiche since it's too old, but that may be doable at the newspaper's HQ (still in print). I looked at the original spanish language wikipedia entry and there are a lot more reference material listed but it's mostly printed books that exist in europe and I have no way to access here in the US, so not sure how I could list or verify those? Thanks for any help... also should I just translate the spanish entry? I figured without having a way to check the referenced data it would not be possible for me to verify and hard for someone else unless they've collected all those books. Thanks again. Pasanf (talk) 04:27, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Pasanf: You could translate it, however as it is I'm happy to accept it as it is. You could always put something on the talk page saying the article is originally from the Spanish language Wikipedia and some things could be translated and added to the enwiki article. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 04:30, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Kethrus: Thanks, I'll add the comment on the talk page as you suggest and resubmit then. Maybe I'll translate at some point as well what I think can be reasonably verified or referenced, or let others further expand of course. Pasanf (talk) 04:38, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
I have modified the update so many times that now, most of the relevant stuff have been removed from it. Have added links to external references like newspapers, portals etc for providing you the proof that we are notable in terms of company size and structure. What more is required to be added..please be precise. Even another company in the same segment- Policybazaar.com has similar stuff and content. Why did that get approved?Tusharpx (talk) 09:37, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
Hi
Thanks for informing about the Notability of Academics. I studied that page and realized I should have added information pertinent to notability in academia. Therefore, I have added the information about James Storer being Department Chair (Notability criteria number 5) and also he being the Chair of the highest impact factor conference in Data Compression from 1991 to 2012, and Co-chair from 2013 to present, this is notability criteria number 8. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(academics)#Criteria
Let me know, what other changes I can make to make sure his notability is verifiable.
I should also like to point regarding him being the inventor of first Lunar Landar game, I have included many sources, articles, periodicals which cite the same. Also Wikipedia's page on Lunar Lander video game series (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunar_Lander_(video_game_series), already mentions his name (see section Lundar Lander (1969) "Lunar was originally written in the FOCAL programming language for the Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) PDP-8 computer by Jim Storer while a student at Lexington High School (Massachusetts) in the fall of 1969", but I have not cited wikipedia as source but cited the original sources that were cited in that Wikipedia article.
Thank you for your effort and time.
