Nick Bougas is an American artist, illustrator, humorist, record producer and film director.[1]
Bougas is known for such films as the 1994 documentary The Goddess Bunny.[2][3]
Bougas is also known for his involvement with the Church of Satan as well as the film Speak of the Devil: The Canon of Anton LaVey, a profile of Church of Satan founder Anton LaVey.[1][4]
In 1998, Bougas released the album Celebrities... At Their Worst!, a collection of comedic audio blunders by such celebrities as Elvis Presley, Casey Kasem, Paul Anka and John Wayne.[5][6]
Bougas has worked with writer Jim Goad on such publications as Answer Me!
Bougas is also known for directing the Death Scenes trilogy of mondo films.[7] The original 1989 Death Scenes film hosted by Anton LaVey,[7] Death Scenes 2 from 1992,[8] and Death Scenes 3 from 1993.[9]
Friendship with comedian Patton Oswalt
On February 15, 2015, comedian Patton Oswalt posted a photo of himself and Bougas on Twitter after having dinner together.[10] The photo was taken by Jim Goad.[10]
On his official website, in May 2005, Oswalt called Bougas his friend and a "bona-fide genius."[11]
