Lost at sea?

[edit]

I've read UC-36 was the third submarine lost to aircraft in WW1, but neither the German nor Austrian lists have any record of her. What's up? Trekphiler 05:22, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

UC-36 was a German boat but the German list is not yet complete. that is why you can't see it. See details here: [1] as you can see, she was not sunk by aircraft.--Jackyd101 06:10, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Numbers don't run in sequence

[edit]

Article says "The numbers do not run in sequence, because a number of Austrian boats were pre-purchased by the German Navy after completion, or were never completed at their German shipyards."

Surely such numbers never ran in sequence, because it would enable "the enemy" to figure out which model they were and how dangerous they might be to attack? PRtalk 17:43, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
