Sentences removed from the Landmarks section
I removed information about an incident in 1961 that doesn't belong in the Landmarks section. It could be included in a section about recent history, if such a section is created. The following is the text that I removed:
On 30 November 1961 an incident occurred involving Ansett-ANA Flight 325, a Vickers Viscount aircraft, that crashed into Botany Bay nine minutes after taking off from Sydney Airport. All fifteen people on board died in the accident. The wreckage was recovered from the bay by divers from NSW Police and the Royal Australian Navy, assisted by HMAS Kimbla.[1]

Removed Penal colony catergory, Botany bay was unsutable as a penal settlement. This article is however important and needs work. Ghostieguide 01:17, 5 January 2006 (UTC)
Map
Could someone please show where Botany Bay is located on a map of Australia?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Vanillabean (talk • contribs) 07:24, 10 May 2006.
First Fleet arrival section
In this section is states that the first fleet were panicked by the arrival of the possibility of the French beating them to it and so set sail that afternoon. I was under the impression that the first fleet had already set sail anyway and the French just happened by coincidence to arrive at that time. Does anyone have better information on this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.124.16.33 (talk) 12:04, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
