Pashtane (पष्टाणे) is a well known village in Jalgaon District, India, situated nearly 30 km from Jalgaon and 7 km from Dharangaon a nearest Railway station.
Geography and climate
Pashtane(पष्टाणे) is a medium sized village divided into 2 sub-villages, one is Pashtane Bk.(पष्टाणे बुद्रुक) and another is Pashtane Kh.(पष्टाणे खुर्द), located in Dharangaon of Jalgaon district.
As per constitution of India and Panchyati Raaj Act, Pashtane village is administrated by Sarpanch (Head of Village) [1] who is elected representative of the village.
Pashtane(पष्टाणे) is on average 400–450 feet above sea level. As the Satpura Mountain Range just 30 km to the north, the bedrock is on an average 15–20 feet below the ground level.
Farming is the main occupation. Average rainfall is 550 mm[8]. The climate is hot for most of the year.
The maximum temperature reaches up to 46 °C in summer and minimum temperature fall up to 8 °C in the winter. Pashtane village shares its boundary with Gangapuri, Dhanore, Anore, Garkhede, Tarde, Sonvad, Ukhalwadi, Kharde, Salwa, Hanumantkhede, Vaghlud, Chavalkhede, and Pimpri.
Demographics
As of 2011[update] India census, [2] [3] Pashtane has a population of 2500+. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Thiruvaiyaru has an average literacy rate of 76%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 81%, and female literacy is 70%. In Thiruvaiyaru, 9% of the population is under 6 years of age.

− 1. Aappaso, Naval Narayan Thakare (Patil)-(1931-2011) - was a most talented person of Village, he had an extensive knowledge of spiritualism, and mainly famous for his Joint-family which having more than 45 people in the family and living uniquely.
− 2. Dadaso, Nilkant Bhika Patil- Famous for his Political background. He is the First Sarpanch of village and region too, who ruled continuously 40+yrs as a Sarpanch of Pashtane Grampanchayat.
