WikiProject Companies To-do:

Here are some tasks awaiting attention:

Primary source

This article makes a lot of "claims" that cite only the company blog or a press release. While this kind of source is not forbidden, the use here is dubious and seems like an advertisement. The extractable value of a press release or blog is often also verifiable by a third party. ForrestLyle (talk) 21:22, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

All three tags that were added in 2014 are no longer valid. The whole article seems dated, but it does not look a press release. The article is neutral and the references are secondary and independent, so I will remove the tags if there's no objection. Tdk408 (talk) 10:40, 21 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

As per WP:DETAG, after publishing a notice on this talk page, I have removed three tags which no longer apply. I removed the third-party, primary sources, and advert tags, which are a year old and are no longer applicable. Tdk408 (talk) 20:07, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Seems to be an advertisement

This article is in dire need of being rewritten so it focuses in telling what does Fireeye products do, instead of just stating how cool their technology is.

I landed here trying to know more about these devices but I got nothing.

Article looks like an advertisement

This article reads like an advertisement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.209.13.209 (talk) 04:25, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notoriety

This article has a citation to an article in ComputerWorld. I consider this to be a reliabe source under WP:RS and I'm being bold and removing the {{Importance}} tag. OlYellerTalktome 12:54, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

this is a sales brochure, not an encyclopedia entry

try to find out what they do. all you'll get is lists of crappy "cool product" awards they won or bought. ffs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.181.168.139 (talk) 09:41, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed that this is a sales brochure

I came here to try and figure out what exactly they do as their site was filled with "APT" etc. Turns out this is even less helpful. Looks like it was written by FireEye's marketing team Orion159753 (talk) 19:38, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Third-party and Primary Sources tags

The Third-party and Primary Sources tags are no longer appropriate. Currently, 9 out of 11 references are neutral, independent sources. If there is no objection, I'll detag per WP:DETAG. Tdk408 (talk) 10:19, 21 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Detagging done. The article no longer reads like advertising copy, and the sources are independent and neutral. Tdk408 (talk) 20:09, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Expand acronym "MPS"

Currently the article repeatedly uses the acronym "MPS" without defining it. Someone who knows, please fix, thanks. 129.219.155.89 (talk) 17:45, 30 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Can I improve this article?

I'm a FireEye employee (engineer), but I'd like to spend a little time fleshing out this article so it has better/more useful information, 3rd party citations, maintains NPOV, and doesn't seem so "salesy". Would this be against Wikipedia etiquette? Jargoon (talk) 01:04, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you are in any doubt if your edits are really NPOV then you can always post them here in the talk page first. Given no-one else answered your question in 3 months I think it's probably OK. 15.195.185.84 (talk) 13:24, 1 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
