Mustafa Nadarević (born 2 May 1943 in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina) is a Bosnian actor and comedian.

Biography

During his long career, Nadarević has built a reputation as one of the most recognizable character actors on the Balkans. In the former Yugoslavia, Nadarević played mostly roles of Partizan soldiers, and is best known for his work in the films When Father Was Away on Business, Reflections, The Glembays, The Perfect Circle, among others.

Nadarević has played a variety roles in various films produced throughout the areas of the Balkans. In 1991 he won the award for Best Actor at the 17th Moscow International Film Festival for his role in Silent Gunpowder.[1]

He has studied at the Academy of Drama Arts in Zagreb.

Nadarević has lately played Avdo in the award-winning 2012 film Halima's Path and professor Miša Brankov in Goran Paskaljević's When Day Breaks.

In his television career, he is best known for his role as Izet Fazlinović in sitcom Lud, zbunjen, normalan.

Personal life

Nadarević’s wife, Slavica Radović (25 April 1964 – 7 June 2012), a Slovenian costume designer, died at the age of 48 after a decade-long battle with breast cancer. She was diagnosed in early April 2012 with metastases of the liver, which was in fact caused by the cancer. She and Nadarević married a couple of weeks later on her birthday, the 25th of April. They had been in a relationship for twenty years. Her words to her friends just before she died were "Take care of my Mujo (Mustafa)".[2]
