Ben Griffiths (born 17 September 1991) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Hailing from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, "Griffter" (as he likes to be called), has established himself as a vital cog of the three-pronged forward line alongside Tyrone Vickery and Jumpin' Jack Riewoldt. Following a pre-season collision with Fremantle ruckman, Aaron Sandilands, Ben now adorns a protective helmet which has endeared him to the Richmond faithful, almost akin to a "calling card". His greatest feat in 2016, outside of the Warrnambool Labour Day Tennis Tournament, was a 5-goal haul against the Sydney Swans during Round 9, which saw the Tigers prevail by a mere 1 point margin.
Griffiths was drafted by Richmond in the second round of the 2009 AFL Draft. He made his debut in Richmond's first win of the season,[2] against Port Adelaide in round 10 of the 2010 season.
