4FINGERS (also known as 4FINGERS Crispy Chicken) is a Singaporean chain of fast casual restaurants that specializes in crispy Korean style fried chicken. Headquartered in Singapore, the chain was founded in 2009 and currently has 10 stores in Singapore and Malaysia. The company expanded regionall Malaysia in 2015, currently with 1 store located in Kuala Lumpur.[1] 4FINGERS also has an outlet in Medan, Indonesia.[2]

History

Established in 2009, 4FINGERS was founded after its creators tried Korean-style fried chicken in New York City's Koreatown. The recipe was perfected and the brand has been a hit since its inception in the iconic ION Orchard mall in Singapore. Steen Puggaard joined the brand as CEO in 2014, and under his leadership, the brand expanded to 8 outlets in Singapore within the short span of 2 years. Now,4FINGERS has outlets in prime locations such as Plaza Singapura, Orchard Gateway and Changi Airport. In 2015, they opened their first overseas store in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia located in Mid Valley Megamall.[3]

Products and stores

Other than specialising in Korean-styled fried chicken, the Fast casual restaurant chain also features other Asian-inspired menu items including signature burgers, Asian rice boxes, salads and crispy seafood dishes. The interior design of the chain outlets features graffiti-marked walls and directional signs influenced by New York City's grungy street style and subway signs.[4]

Corporate Social Responsibility

During the Summer Olympics of 2016, 4FINGERS decided to support national rower Saiyidah Aisyah. In seeing herself through to the Rio Games and for her other achievements, Aisyah portrayed characteristics of fearlessness and dedication which resonated with the brand, who hoped to bring greater awareness to the sport and the Sportswoman.

4FINGERS used a portion the proceeds of their secret menu - a burger called The X.B.F.F., to support Aisyah as she prepared for the Olympics, as well as providing her with a monthly stipend to help with her training.
