Brain Bar Budapest is an annual global festival on the future organized in Budapest, Hungary since 2015. It was organized with the goal to create a new, dynamic platform to exchange visions in Europe[1] The festival addresses a wide range of topics influencing how communities and humanity as a whole will like in the future. Brain Bar Budapest develops various formats for on-stage debates in order to present different points of view. In addition to debates, the festival hosts artistic performances including DJ sets and mini shows as an integral part of the program.
Brain Bar Budapest is the largest future-themed festival in Europe and now attracts more than 5000 people coming from 43 different countries (with an especially large participation of British, Austrians and Polish citizens). Brain Bar Budapest had over 200 speakers from more than 25 countries, including Chris Hadfield, Sir Martin Sorrell, Niall Ferguson, Sugata Mitra, Virginia Postrel and Philip Zimbardo.[2]
In 2016, Brain Bar Budapest formed a strategic partnership with Google and onboarded WIRED as its media partner.[3] It also managed to form long-term collaboration with Magyar Telekom, BMW, Heineken and KPMG.[4]
The festival receives extensive media coverage with over 200 media workers attending each year. In 2016, Brain Bar Budapest partnered with WIRED as media partner, further establishing its global presence.
