Sir Robert Pattinson Academy
Robert Pattinson School is a school in North Hykeham, Lincolnshire, UK. It has around 1500 students and is a specialist school in three areas: it is a language, science and mathematics college. It became a self-governing school in 1992 and has links with schools around the world including the Czech Republic, the USA, Germany, South Africa, France, Spain, Italy, Kenya, China, Russia.
The school has four houses, Windsor, Stuart, Tudor and York, who compete in sporting events throughout the year to attempt to win the Governors Cup. This is presented at Sports Day each year, which is traditionally held in the first week of July.
Recent Ofsted report
The recent Ofsted report described the standard of education as "satisfactory", with "above average" standards at GCSE. Teaching was described as "good". Provision in art, design and ICT is unsatisfactory, however, and the governing body is "not sufficiently well informed to challenge the school and hold it to account". The school was praised for its international links, and for the enthusiasm with which pupils participate in sporting activities. Provision needs to be made for an act of daily worship.
