Accidental erasure
Hi! I would like to apologize for the mistake I made. I was trying to add a song but I erased everything and I didn't know how to pull it back up. I try to contact somebody like an admin (like you) but I couldn't. Hope you can understand. Thank you by the way! Sincerely, Gamerato (new user)
- It's fine, we have bots and several users watching Special:RecentChanges at all times, and deleted content usually gets fixed quickly. Help:Page history explains how to undo edits and restore old versions, so next time you can do it yourself. I've had to revert my own edits a couple times today myself.
- By the way I'm not currently an admin. Aside from blocking users, completely deleting articles, and a couple other maintenance tasks you can do almost anything on Wikipedia without any special permissions. Take a look at the New contributors' help page for some information to get you started. —Guanaco 02:01, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
Mediation Committee
I just saw that you reactivated and want to make sure that you're still subscribed to the Medcom mailing list since that's where case openings are announced and accepted. If you're not, activate your email link here so you can Wiki-email me with an email address to be added to the list. Best regards, TransporterMan (TALK) 05:38, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for reminding me. Email sent. —Guanaco 05:48, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
- I'm watching for it, but my mail is sometimes slow. It's 1:00 AM here and I'm going to go fling myself into the arms of Morpheus and will look for it in the morning. I look forward to working with you. Best regards, TransporterMan (TALK) 06:07, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
- Just FYI, I received your test message sent through the list. Best regards, TransporterMan (TALK) 15:54, 27 May 2017 (UTC)

Gustavo Zamudio
I deleted content in that page because the information was wrong and I couldn't find anything in Google to verificate it. In Wikipedia in Spanish I did the same, without objections. You can see that here: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustavo_Zamudio — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sconf (talk • contribs)
- Thanks for letting me know. I've restored your edit and did a bit of searching myself with no luck. Next time it would help to make a note in your edit summary. Something simple like "unsourced, can't verify on Google" makes things easier for those of us patrolling recent changes. —Guanaco 17:30, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
Scholar200
Hi, could you please delete the article titled "Little Satan (Israel Title)." This article is problematic in nature because it promotes a viewpoint that is explicitly Zionist and anti-Iranian in nature. Specifically the fact that it only seems to about how Benjamin Netanyahu doesn't like the fact that Iran has referred his country as the "Little Satan" and that from this, the article promotes Iran's anti-Israeli view as if it were based on pure antisemitism which is not the case. The article, if it were to still exist, should mention the reasoning behind the title from the Iranian perspective. Specifically it should mention the fact that Israel acts as both an imperialist power in the region displacing the Palestinian people and acts more or less as a puppet of American Imperialist interests. The "Great Satan" article at least mentions the reasoning behind Iran's labeling of the United States as such, because of it's imperialism. The article, which only depicts Benjamin Netanyahu's perspective on the term, is also explicitly Islamophobic in nature because of how it only depicts Netanyahu referring to the people who say it as Islamists. In addition, the article also violates neutrality by connotating anti-Zionism and anti-Zionist Muslims with terrorism by referring to how the term is used in terrorist propaganda. Also, the books cited are unreliable sources of Zionist propaganda.Scholar200 (talk) 02:08, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Scholar200: I'm unable to delete articles; to do this you'll need a community consensus at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. The term is, in my opinion, a notable one, meaning it's used enough to justify the article's existence. I doubt you'd have any luck getting it deleted.
- The best thing for you to do in this case is to edit the article constructively and work toward a [[Wikipedia:neutral point of view||]. More information, citing quality sources from an Iranian perspective also would be good.
- This stuff's as contentious here as it is in Iran or Israel, so expect possible hostility. Stay calm and be willing to discuss changes on the article's talk pages, and you'll do well. —Guanaco 02:17, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
Denis Johnson
I've learned of the death of American author Denis Johnson through the writer Chris Offutt: https://twitter.com/Chris_Offutt/status/867971243089084418 That's why I made the changes to Johnson's Wikipedia page.

- Social media sources like Twitter aren't the most reliable, so it may be better to wait a day or two for something from family or an obituary. It's good to have definitive confirmation before we publicly declare someone dead. How about we give it 48 hours, and if there's nothing either way we can consider him deceased? —Guanaco 05:48, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
Symbiosis law school
hey! the last change that i made in the symbiosis law school page is relevant. Btw may i know who are you Guanaco?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.94.107.225 (talk) 05:44, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
- @59.94.107.225: It's relevant, but it's against Wikipedia policy to declare something as the "best." (See Wikipedia:Neutral point of view.) If you want to add awards the school has earned, positive ratings from agencies, etc., those might be valid. Just make sure you keep the neutrality policy in mind and cite sources for what you add. —Guanaco 05:50, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
Huh?
Hello G. This edit sent me a red ping stating that my edit had been reverted. Since it did not revert my edit having to check the ping was annoying to say the least. Don't get me wrong - I think your removal of the item was fine - I had left it out of AGF. If twinkle forces the edit to act like it was a revert of my edit then you could have just removed the item manually. I am guessing that this post will be annoying as well. Please feel free to remove it and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. MarnetteD|Talk 22:34, 27 May 2017 (UTC)
- I see how it works now, sorry about that. I'll keep that in mind when I'm reverting and use old version edits instead if it's likely to bother people. Thanks for telling me. —Guanaco 22:40, 27 May 2017 (UTC)
- You are welcome and thanks for understanding. It is funny/not so funny that the red ping can be good or bad news :-) Cheers. MarnetteD|Talk 02:01, 28 May 2017 (UTC)
Stop reverting my edit
I get the Paleocemoski revert, but why are you reverting my messages on Materialscientist and Favonian talk page. You have no right to do that. That is not considered spam.
