Technical Question

Can you teach me the technical reason for this edit? I am sure there is one, I just want to learn it.  —አቤል ዳዊት?(Janweh64) (talk) 02:56, 17 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for posting this political stub eight years ago [1]. Like so many stubs are, it ended up being an interesting topic to expand upon :) Yvarta (talk) 00:29, 29 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thanks for this. I expect that editor to be back in 31 hours...so keep your eyes peeled. 32.218.32.137 (talk) 21:47, 8 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The Somers, Wisconsin article says that it is both a village and a town. Of course, a jurisdiction can't be both simultaneously, so I looked into the matter. It turns out that part of the Town of Somers incorporated as a village in 2015, with part remaining as a town. (See: [2], [3] .) That means that there should be separate articles for the town and village. Would you be able to work on separating the two into separate articles? No rush, but this seems like it's up your alley. Thanks for considering it. 32.218.43.141 (talk) 17:38, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I've now created an article for Somers (town), Wisconsin and changed Somers, Wisconsin into the article for the village. Please keep an eye on them because some clueless editor has reverted my work on this: [4], [5]. Thanks for your help with this. 32.218.41.31 (talk) 14:45, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

BLPO

Per Template:WikiProject Biography, the parameter blpo should be "set to yes if the subject of the article is not a living person, but the article contains sensitive information about other living persons, otherwise remove this line." — Wyliepedia 20:38, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder if you could find a cause of death. I can't find an obituary on Newspapers.com, which is rather odd for a former state representative...Zigzig20s (talk) 13:11, 2 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for adding WikiProjects to my women's biographies. In this case, she only lived in Arizona until she was 1 year old. She lived her childhood and young adult years in Chicago, and then moved to Los Angeles. Do we really need WP Arizona? Should we add WP Illinois? Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 17:40, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm TJRC. I noticed that you made a change to an article, St. Ignatius College Prep, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hi-I removed the link about St Ignatius College Prep from the Peter M. Callan article. The Illinois Blue Book biographical sketch for Peter Callan mentioned that he went to St. Ignatius High School; I am wondering if this was the same school or a different St. Ignatius in the Chicago area. Many thanks-RFD (talk) 10:45, 12 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I can't find anything either. Looks like there are likely hits at newspaper.com, but I can't see the detail without a subscription. TJRC (talk) 18:52, 12 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Remove derogatory lines from Nair page

As per Wikipedia editors, they never consider the details of Raj era. Then may I know why derogatory information such as Polygamy, Hypergamy, Thallikettu kalyanam, sambandham etc are included in the page. Those were practices of Raj era. Take Wikipedia serious. Its not a place to put your views and suggestions. Either go with the rule that no old Raj era customs will be included or take consensus from other editors and add non derogatory customs and prides of these caste and elaborate the page. Apparently it look like few has taken the control of few pages like Nair, Ezhava etc and I have seen you using derogatory statements in Ezhava as well.

Remove below derogatory line in Nair article. ""These people were then distinguished from others in the local population by their occupation as protectors, with the others all being classed as out-caste. Pullapilly describes that this meant they "... were given kshatriya functions, but only shudra status. Thus originated the Nairs.""
