Birthdate

Oct.10th 1962

An editor here, claiming to be a relation of the article subject, says we have the birth year wrong by a decade. Unfortunately, the only source we have for this puts her in the Miss Universe pageant at what would be, according to this editor, an age of 12 or 13. I'd like to see better sourcing to establish whether the news article is simply mistaken (and somehow predicted her appearance in a beauty pageant a decade in advance), or whether MU let a preteen into the contest, or ... in any case, I'd like to understand the disconnect better. --j⚛e deckertalk 19:47, 21 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As to taking out the birthdate without a source--I think that's a good call. Thanks.  :) --j⚛e deckertalk 04:08, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This article is up for deletion. Also I can confirm the person in question birthdate is Oct. 10 1962.

Please delete this article. This is not a celebrity and the article is being edited by a family member. Most of the content is not even about her,but her family. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kaylatiger23 (talkcontribs) 19:04, 9 September 2013 (UTC) In regards to the comments above. I don't think her date of birth really matter on here. 1962 sounds like it could be correct and yet as a person directly involved in beauty pageants I can tell you that at least in those years some participants in the Miss Universe contest were as young as 16 years old, and I am pretty sure that that was Miss Argentina 1985, and the oldest would have been 27 years old, that is a decade right there. You could leave 1962 but it could be miss representing Julia. On the other hand we have someone here asking for the article to be deleted claiming that Julia Mora is not a celebrity and that it is a family member editing the article. I think that before making a statement like that we first need to get familiar with such term. According to Wikipedia, this is the meaning of the word celebrity: Celebrity - Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celebrity Celebrity refers to the fame and public attention accorded by the mass media to individuals or groups or, occasionally, animals, but is usually applied to the persons or groups of people (celebrity couples, families, etc.) themselves who receive such a status of fame and attention. In that case , Julia is a celebrity. I can bring pictures of well know magazines where she has appeared. The National Enquirer, Vanidades, TV y Novelas, Mira, just to name a few. Interviews from reliable sources on Youtube, for example, Azteca America (a Latin TV station in Los Angeles, CA), HC Noticias, etc. Julia Mora recently made headlines on The National Enquirer because of an alleged romance with Poncharello (The star of CHIPs, Eric Estrada) that right there gives her a celebrity status by itself. I was just reviewing other articles here on Wikipedia about other Miss El Salvador and they have poor sources or none, but only Julia Mora is nominated for deletion? How is that possible? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irma_Dimas[reply]

We can clearly see on this page that someone is asking to "please" have Julia Mora's page deleted. This same person has been "bullying" Miss El Salvador, Julia Mora for years, and deleting important and relevant links that prove that indeed see is a celebrity from EL Salvador. That tells us that his/her pleads have a hidden motivation. To me it is clear that he or she is a hater, perhaps he or she is very jealous of Julia, like it happens to other celebrities. Why would you delete her page when she is notorious not only from her participation in the Miss Universe contest but for being a TV personality at Telemundo Network, radio shows, etc. Her real name is Julia Haydee Mora Maza, but she opted for a stage name Julia Mora. As far as her date of birth we don't know for sure, she could have been born in 62, 65, 69 or whatever but I don't think we have the right to make that decision. I am not a family member but a huge fan. If necessary I can provide with my name, email address and phone number. I just defend Julia from haters, that is all, I am a very fair person.
