Ram Awana is an Indian film and television actor (Born in Noida to a Gurjar family).[2] He is known for his roles in Jungle (2000 film), Mission Kashmir, Zameen (2003 film), Ansh: The Deadly Part [3], Aalha Udal [4]. He appeared in National Award winning films such as Lahore (film) [5] and Baaja[6] directed by Apurba Kishore Bir. He is also known for television shows such as Jai Shri Krishna, Dwarkadheesh – Bhagwaan Shree Krishn, Tere Mere Sapne [7], Life lafde aur bandiya [8], Shri Prannathji [9] , It’s Complicated: Relationship Ka Naya Status [10][11], Sarojini - Ek Nayi Pehal, Crime Patrol (TV series), Balika Vadhu [12], Gutur Gu [13], Adaalat[14] , CID (Indian TV series) [15], Durga [16] and many more. He has worked in more than 200 Hindi TV shows. He appeared in a German feature film, Best Chance[17] by Marcus H. Rosenmüller in 2014. Kesari (film) is one of the upcoming movies of Ram.

Career

Ram graduated from GDC in 1991, immediately after which he joined Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts and this was when he developed his passion for acting. He did his post graduation from Bharatendu Academy of Dramatic Arts (1994 to 1996) and was a gold medalist. From 1996 to 1998 he worked in shri ram centre repertory as 'A' grade actor with well-known theatre personalities such as Habib Tanvir, Fritz Bennewitz, B. M. Shah, M. K. Raina, Ranjit Kapoor, etc. He has worked with Colonel Kapoor in many of his projects in early 90's.
