Per BLP, editors should not restore contentious material about living people that has been removed on BLP grounds without consensus. Since editors where not discussing the issue, but rather reverting each other, I have just protected the article for a week, reverting to a version that, in my opinion, did not contain any contentious information. If consensus is reached before the week is up, please let me know and I'll unprotect the page. SalvioLet's talk about it!14:28, 11 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I repeat what @SheriffIsInTown: said in the edit summaries that since the education section is all about a degree which Usman Dar received fraudulently from a degree mill, it does not qualify under section heading "Education" but "Dubious degree case" because the section title should be descriptive of the content it contains. --Saqib (talk) 14:39, 11 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Salvio giuliano: There is no BLP violation in that content. It is supported by sources and stated as-is. I request you to restore my edit, you can count my opinion as third opinion and consider that there is already consensus. I do not see the objecting IP raising any valid points so far. If you yourself are contesting it then please let us know why do you think that it is a WP:BLPVIO. Sheriff | ☎ 911 | 15:17, 11 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The IP editor is not discussing the issue, so I'm about to unprotect the article. That said, in my opinion, we should stick close to what the sources have said, to make sure we are not breaching BLP and, so, if they call his degree "dubious", then probably saying dubious is better than saying fake... I'd rather wait and see if disruption reoccurs, before semi-protecting. As the article stands now, it's perfectly compliant with BLP, in my opinion; so, if the IP starts edit warring, he can be blocked or the article semied. However, we tend not to protect articles preemptively. SalvioLet's talk about it!11:40, 12 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Dear admin @Salvio giuliano:, please check my edit, I just removed main head Dubious degree issue but later restored it. Is it possible to change or remove it? One more thing which is necessary to mentioned is that senior user changed one thing here [1] he change from has to claims to hold but article holder has actually bachelors degree then why something like this Claims to was written. I changed that but senior user revert back. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.160.119.197 (talk) 12:30, 12 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
