Remothered: Tormented Fathers is a survival horror video game by Darril Arts [1] for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
This italian survival horror videogame is both developed and set in Italy, it is created, written and directed by the italian videogame artist Chris Darril and, as the first chapter of an announced trilogy, it is considered a spiritual successor to the japanese survival horror series Clock Tower.

Reception

Critical and public reception to Remothered: Tormented Fathers was very good [2]. Many of the critics defined it an ambitious and terrifying psychological survival horror with good writing, uchilling cliffhangers and shocking plot twists. They found the inspiration for Remothered comes from Roman Polanski's cinematography, as well as Stephen King's literature. It has also could been inspired by games such as Haunting Ground, Rule of Rose, Silent Hill and the hide&seek gameplay proposed by the terrifying Alien: Isolation. Gamespot ranked Remothered: Tormented Fathers #4 next to Resident Evil 7, Silent_Hill, Fatal Frame 2 and Amnesia: The Dark Descent between The Scariest Games of All Time[3]. On his official Twitter account, the acclaimed Silent Hill, Gravity Rush and Forbidden Siren creator and game designer, Keiichiro Toyama, now involved into Sony Computer Japan declared his love for Remothered: Tormented Fathers and its story, hoping to have a chance to working together Remothered creator, Mr. Darril, someday[4].
