Hi can you move Dipika article name to Dipika Kakar that’s her name please User:86.170.34.216 (talk) 7:23, 2 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Orphaned non-free image File:BepannaahCard.jpeg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:BepannaahCard.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:31, 22 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

File:Bepanah.jpg

Please stop playing with the versions of this image. It needs to remain at the smaller size so as not to be in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. You have made over a dozen reverts to this image in 2 or 3 days. If there is something in particular which you are trying to achieve then please explain what that is, and someone will try to help you - otherwise, repeated reverts for no apparent reason could begin to look disruptive, and cause extra work for admins, who need to delete all the old revisions you are creating, so that we comply with WP:NFC.

  • Please note that I have uploaded a higher quality rescale at WP:NFC compliant size, from the very large version in the history - in case quality was your concern.

Thank you. -- Begoon 08:58, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I know it must be getting disruptive and annoying but I've been doing that for a reason. An anonymous user was trying to vandalise the page by uploading an image without one of the leads and by adding and deleting data. Since then, after every few hours no matter which current version of the image is there, it goes back to the image uploaded by the anon. I've been trying to understand how and why this is happening but to no avail. So everytime that image shows up, I revert so as to bring back the original image. And the weird thing is that the image the anon uploaded doesn't show in the entries. MiaSays (talk) 09:13, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I think your image cache in your browser may be confusing you. The only user to make the last 13 or so revisions to that file is you, between 2 sizes of the same image. IP users can't upload images. If you see a different image in the article then the article itself might have been changed to use a different image name, and that can persist in your browser cache. You can fix that by bypassing your cache. Purging the article and/or file page is a good idea too. Reverting the image will appear to refresh your cache too, as a side effect, but it's not necessary. There was a named user with a few sockpuppets messing with images including this one, here and at Commons, I recall you reverting them while I was doing so, but they are blocked now. -- Begoon 09:47, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Oh yes, sorry I used the word anonymous instead. Also, I'll try clearing the cache. Thank you for the suggestion. Sorry, incase of any inconvenience. MiaSays (talk) 10:13, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The user was padmakalki who happened to be a sockpuppet. MiaSays (talk) 10:13, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that was one of the blocked socks. No need to apologise - the way images work can be confusing. Thanks. -- Begoon 11:18, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, which image can you see in Bepannah's infobox rn? I cleared cache and it was okay but now again that picture is back in sight. MiaSays (talk) 12:33, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I just purged the page and cleared my cache. The infobox image currently is File:Bepanah.jpg; I see the title of the show, a female reclining, and a male kneeling. —C.Fred (talk) 14:38, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. I've checked Bepannah several times since you asked and it displayed the correct, most recently uploaded, higher quality version of File:Bepanah.jpg on each occasion, as would be expected. -- Begoon 22:53, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
So here's the thing, I see the incorrect image in the mobile view but see the correct image in the desktop view. Unable to understand why this is happening? MiaSays (talk)
It appears correctly for me at https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bepannah. It's almost certainly a cache issue somewhere between the wikipedia servers, your mobile ISP and your mobile device. The url for mobile and desktop is different, so the data in any cache can differ too. How you "fix" that would depend on your device, browser and ISP - and I can't give a definitive answer. It's even possible you can't fix it except by waiting if the cache is at your ISP, thus not in your control. Mobile data will be cached more aggressively because it's more expensive, but this seems unusual. I'd certainly try doing a proper restart on your mobile device, and enquiring with your mobile service provider, since it shouldn't persist this long. I'm not an expert on the mobile view or devices, so asking a question at WP:VPT might get your problem looked at more widely by people who may have better ideas for solutions. -- Begoon 10:06, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"Currently"

Hi there, re: these edits, thank you for your improvements. Please note that the word "currently" is not terribly helpful to a reader, because it's an ephemeral statement. A reader is not going to know whether that was written today or five years ago. That's why the previous wording was "as of 2018", which is more specific and communicative. Additionally, the previous version used the {{As of}} template, which adds the article to a hidden category of articles using ephemeral statements, so that they might be updated later. Thank you. Disambiguation link notification for December 4

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Vish Ya Amrit: Sitara, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Horror (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:19, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
