The result of the discussion was: speedy keep . MfD is not the place to discuss high-profile changes to the Community portal. That should be done at the relevant talk page or the Village Pump, and pages brought here only if/when it is decided they will no longer be used. RL0919 (talk) 19:29, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
Thanks to the BOLD efforts of User:Moxy, this is no longer part of the Community portal, and I don't think it can survive on its own, because the only two parts that anyone looked at (the Signpost and CENT) have been moved to different parts of the CP. Keep – the revamp of the Community Portal needs to be discussed before implementation -- the Community Bulletin Board has been on there over 12 years -- removing it out of the blue without discussion is disruptive. Those changes have been reverted, per WP:BRD. Even if it is removed from the Community Portal, which it shouldn't be, the Community Bulletin Board has a long history on Wikipedia, with many substantial postings over the years, and therefore should be marked historical rather than make it inaccessible. But, Wikipedia needs a place where editors can place notices for immediate viewing, something that the Signpost is not. It has provided this function since 2006. We should definitely keep the Community Bulletin Board. — The Transhumanist 06:39, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
- Keep my intent was not to have this page deleted...but simply not transclude on the community bulletin board. I have no problem talking about the personal bulletin board on the community board at all at the community portal. --Moxy (talk) 06:54, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
