Non constructive deletion

Thanks for deleting the things that don;t fit into your agenda. The only two witnesses to the Gleiwitz incident were both trying to save their necks and their "evidence" is simply suspect Airy Neave said this in his book on the Nuremberg Trials. von Lahousen, for instance, was a traitor who gave evidence against Goering at Nuremburg. Read more, delete less. 2A00:23C4:B63A:1800:C7F:AAE:1071:F1CD (talk) 18:56, 31 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

2A00:23C4:B63A:1800:C7F:AAE:1071:F1CD First off, don't accuse me of having an 'agenda,' on Wikipedia we rely on verifiability. The addition you made was unsourced so I reverted it as such. Please cite your source in the future. Kb03 (talk) 19:00, 31 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Super Henedi

Hello Kb03. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Super Henedi, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: TV series are not eligible for A7 speedy deletion (cf. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2287077/). Thank you. SoWhy 07:23, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Sorry, I didn't see the difference in spelling on those two usernames. Thanks for pointing it out. 331dot (talk) 14:32, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

331dot, No problem, thanks for the speedy reply. Kb03 (talk) 14:35, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Technical news

  • Editors using the mobile website on Wikipedia can opt-in to new advanced features via your settings page. This will give access to more interface links, special pages, and tools.
  • The advanced version of the edit review pages (recent changes, watchlist, and related changes) now includes two new filters. These filters are for "All contents" and "All discussions". They will filter the view to just those namespaces.

Why the revert?

Are you a fan of innecessary punctuation, incongruent re the general format, or do you perhaps prefer not linking freely accessible works for the world to learn? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.106.14.227 (talkcontribs)

128.106.14.227 I reverted that because it violated WP:EXLINK. Kb03 (talk) 15:21, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Review newsletter September-October 2019

Hello Kb03,

Backlog

Instead of reaching a magic 300 as it once did last year, the backlog approaching 6,000 is still far too high. An effort is also needed to ensure that older unsuitable older pages at the back of the queue do not get automatically indexed for Google.

Coordinator

A proposal is taking place here to confirm a nominated user as Coordinator of NPR.

This month's refresher course

Why I Hate Speedy Deleters, a 2008 essay by long since retired Ballonman, is still as valid today. Those of us who patrol large numbers of new pages can be forgiven for making the occasional mistake while others can learn from their 'beginner' errors. Worth reading.

Deletion tags

Do bear in mind that articles in the feed showing the trash can icon (you will need to have 'Nominated for deletion' enabled for this in your filters) may have been tagged by inexperienced or non NPR rights holders using Twinkle. They require your further verification.

Paid editing

Please be sure to look for the tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary. WMF policy requires paid editors to connect to their adverts.

Subject-specific notability guidelines' (SNG). Alternatives to deletion
  • Reviewers are requested to familiarise themselves once more with notability guidelines for organisations and companies.
  • Blank-and-Redirect is a solution anchored in policy. Please consider this alternative before PRODing or CSD. Note however, that users will often revert or usurp redirects to re-create deleted articles. Do regularly patrol the redirects in the feed.
Not English
  • A common issue: Pages not in English or poor, unattributed machine translations should not reside in main space even if they are stubs. Please ensure you are familiar with WP:NPPNE. Check in Google for the language and content, and if they do have potential, tag as required, then move to draft. Modify the text of the template as appropriate before sending it.
Tools

Regular reviewers will appreciate the most recent enhancements to the New Pages Feed and features in the Curation tool, and there are still more to come. Due to the wealth of information now displayed by ORES, reviewers are strongly encouraged to use the system now rather than Twinkle; it will also correctly populate the logs.

Stub sorting, by SD0001: A new script is available for adding/removing stub tags. See User:SD0001/StubSorter.js, It features a simple HotCat-style dynamic search field. Many of the reviewers who are using it are finding it an improvement upon other available tools.

Assessment: The script at User:Evad37/rater makes the addition of Wikiproject templates extremely easy. New page creators rarely do this. Reviewers are not obliged to make these edits but they only take a few seconds. They can use the Curation message system to let the creator know what they have done.

DannyS712 bot III is now patrolling certain categories of uncontroversial redirects. Curious? Check out its patrol log.

Go here to remove your name if you wish to opt-out of future mailings.

G5

hello where I can defend myself against G5's accusations. thank you and I hope to have some hope of editing on wikipedia. I hope you understand my defense.--BrugesFR (talk) 16:33, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

BrugesFR, Sorry, I got you confused with a blocked sock I was dealing with earlier today. I am going to self revert all my reversions. I apologise. Kb03 (talk) 16:41, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
thank you, my friend. really, you would help me a lot now if you would return my revisions to those articles. thanks for your work--BrugesFR (talk) 16:54, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
BrugesFR, I have restored all your edits and will be more careful in the future Kb03 (talk) 17:11, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dab pages, reverts, and moves

You have reverted a number of dab page creations by a blocked sock (eg. Ashok Kumar, Amit Kumar). The sock had typically disambiguated a primary topic (eg. Amit Kumar renamed to Amit Kumar (singer)). Reversions of one of the edits without the other (and without reversing the page move) leaves two dab pages, claiming a primary topic which is a dab page. I have made edits at Ashok Kumar (reverted your revert) and Amit Kumar (reverted the sock's edit, but not the page move), but more work is probably needed. I'll give it a while and maybe your batch will catch up with all the changes, but meanwhile people are coming in and seeing strange things then proposing even stranger things. Lithopsian (talk) 17:04, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Lithopsian, Sorry, I didn't see the page moves. If only there was an easier way to move pages. Kb03 (talk) 17:10, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Lithopsian, I've gone back and reverted myself on the redirect front. I'll look for more broken changes. Kb03 (talk) 17:27, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I've fixed a few and moved the pages back. Might be more, maybe I'll come across them, maybe not. Lithopsian (talk) 20:34, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

What did I do?

Hello, I just got an email that said I'm involved in a case, I'm not sure what exactly is going on, can you explain? I did a quick search on 'sockpuppet' and from what I can tell I'm suspected of being someone else? I'm confused. Thanks. JamesRuddy93 (talk) 19:44, 24 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
