Bhavesh has extensively traveled to many remote and urban parts of the world and explored all continents as a successful Entrepreneur, Chairman, CEO, and Qualified Technology Executive and as an Independent Board Member. He is an International Keynote Speaker, Published Author & an Expert on subjects of Cyber Security, Risk Governance, Emerging Technologies, GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance), Board Leadership and Environmental Social & Governance (ESG).  He is a Serial Entrepreneur and Inventor of Governance as a Service® cloud computing platform.  He is a Qualified Technology Executive with two decades of experience as a global Chief Executive, Board Member & Adviser to various Profit and Non-Profit Boards in diverse Industries. He now advises CEO’s and Boards on Creative and Agile form of Leadership leveraging diverse human experiences of Music and Martial Arts.  Bhavesh mentors other Startups and advice them how to create good Cyber Security based businesses as a Board Level Mentor at Mach37 Incubator in Virginia.[1]

PERSONAL LIFE AND EDUCATION

Bhavesh was raised in a Hindu, Vaishnav family in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He is married to Amishi Bhagat and has two children. The family lives in Northern Virginia, USA.

Bhavesh Bhagat grew up in Mumbai, India and spent first twenty five years of his life there as an avid Electrical Engineer (University of Mumbai) and Music and Language student whose only goal was to come to the USA to pursue higher education. To fulfill this dream, he came to USA as a student to pursue MBA in International Finance & MIS from the Kogod School of Business, American University in Washington DC.

After completing his academics and before embarking on his successful entrepreneurial ventures he worked with Esteemed Organizations like

Brimming with an “Enterprising Spirit”, Bhavesh wanted to create something new where he can utilize his expertise and also contribute positively towards Technology, Governance and Enterprise Risk Management. Hence the birth of EnCrisp in the year 2004. Since its inception, EnCrisp has been awarded and recognized by numerous institutions for Excellence in Services and Customer Satisfaction. In 2010, Bhavesh started another Company, Confident Governance that is one of the first pioneers in Cloud Governance. Bhavesh invented the game changing “Governance as a Service™” platform driven solutions that provide a comprehensive suite of scalable, flexible and secure web-based applications and offer an easy to use, collaborative web-based environment that facilitates improved reporting and transparency. In the first quarter of 2014, Confident Governance also launched its first ICT innovations hub of Excellence in Gujarat. Through this Global Governance Center of Excellence, he is committed to increasing skills and education about latest Emerging Technologies related to maximizing E-Governance and proven efficiencies in India and USA.

Settling professionally and socially in a foreign Country has its own share of Challenges. However, Bhavesh has achieved Professional as well as Personal success with his invincible Resilience, Dedication, Discipline, Intelligence, Modesty and most importantly, Humanity. He has kept himself firmly grounded to his Indian roots and is an ardent Spiritual and Philosophical author. He is proficient in North Indian Classical music and is an avid Pakhavaj Player. Amidst all the busyness, he continues to be a wonderful Father, Husband and Son.  

Devotion, Dedication and Important Contribution to Indian Classical Music

In his second part of life, Bhavesh is on an "Inner Pilgrimage" dedicating it to exploring the innermost hidden destinations of "Swara" and "Laya" in the journey of Music. This second phase Journey in its fullness is to explore the spiritual dimension of Sound and Devotion. He is a lifelong student and practitioner of Applied Philosophy in the form of Indian Classical Music practicing oldest Indian Percussion Instrument Mridang (Pakhavaj).As a student of singing; he is focused on daily practice of Padas sung in devotion to Lord Krishna in Dhrupad and Khayal styles. He is an avid student of Indian Bamboo Flute (Bansuri).

Bhavesh has also authored one of the bestselling books on Amazon based on Indian Classical Music. The book titled “Science of Rhythm” deals with the subject of illustrating the Science (logical and experimental roots) and Sensibilities (emotional and spiritual feeling based genesis) of the Indian Rhythmic structures also known as “Taal Shastra” in Sanskrit.[2]

Bhavesh’s mantra for success is Agility, which comes from his practice in Martial Arts

Bhavesh is a 2nd Dan Kukkiwon Board certified Black Belt Martial Artist in Taekwondo (South Korean) Martial Arts. He has synthesized all his unique expertise in leading Global organizations, Music and Martial Arts to deliver and teach the Boards and CEO's the need to diversify the Leadership skills to continuously survive in face of social, technological and geo-political winds of change with Agility and Creativity.

Bhavesh is a student and practitioner of the Shuddhadvaita Branch of Hindu Vedanta philosophy (Vallabh Vedantin Pushti Sampradaya). He was honored to represent this Hindu philosophical school of thought in the 2018 Parliament of World Religions held in Toronto, Canada.

THE GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP

Since ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) issues are increasingly getting placed on top of the Board Agendas, Bhavesh believes that they must be viewed with the background of enabling Sustainable and Resilient growth. He has innovated the award winning “Governance as a Service” platform keeping in focus the rapid innovation in Technology and increasing need to address the future ESG challenges. He also delivered an informative session on ESG Challenges and dealing effectively with them at a global discussion hosted by NACD (National Association of Corporate Directors) in 2018. He is also actively participating in the “Clean Ganga” initiative , which is a  national project undertaken by the Indian Government towards cleaning and maintenance of the river Ganges.

Description: The present volume is an English synopsis with some of the Author’s own research and experiments in understanding the Science of the Rhythm. The book deals with the subject of illustrating the Science (logical and experimental roots) and Sensibilities (emotional and spiritual feeling based genesis) of the Indian Rhythmic structures also known as “Taal Shastra” in Sanskrit. The knowledge is based on ancient texts and author's own experiences as a practitioner of the art and instructions received from profound Gurus over the years. The book is a first of its kind in English language to delve into subjects of Science, Spirituality and Art in the context of Rhythmic instruments of Indian Classical Musical system. The first analytical and scientific section is based on Author's evolving experiments in the practice of Naad Yoga. Second and Third sections go into the ancient details of the structure and science of the Taal system in India with the English descriptions and explanations of the Sanskrit terms and their meanings. Source of the Sanskrit and Hindi material is translated by Author from out of print and unavailable “Taal Deepika” published by the Author Shri Mannuji Mridangacharya of Benaras in 1930s. The original Sanskrit and Hindi explanations have also been maintained in this book to assist the reader in grasping the idea from multiple languages. This book is NOT intended be a "How To Guide" on playing the Indian rhythmic instrument as it is assumed that reader has basic knowledge of the instruments and their physical playing abilities. Purpose of the book is to educate the practitioner of Music on true science and depth of the Taal Rhythmic structures so that one can perform with the full and complete depth that is gained by exploring the subject from all physical and spiritual avenues.
