Broadcasted

The Wiktionary definition of Broadcasted states the use is proscribed, so it should not be used. The word also appears on Wikipedia:Lists_of_common_misspellings/B

Broadcasted appears in some dictionaries, but others, e.g. Chambers state "Sorry, no entries for Broadcasted were found".
Broadcast appears in all dictionaries, and should be used as COMMONALITY - "Wikipedia tries to find words that are common to all varieties of English".

A July 2019 search for Broadcast gave over 200,000 uses, compared with a search for Broadcasted which gave just 74.
Of these 74, 15 are redirects to "Broadcast" articles, 16 refer to a Canadian TV award and 5 relate to a 1924 cartoon. The rest are quotations.

Seabees

I am going to ask your help in creating consistency across some articles. The Navy has Naval Mobile Construction Battalions and Amphibious CBs. Four of the battalions have article titles that use the Arabic number: 5, 11, 25 and 133. Five use the written number: One, Two, Three, and Four. Could you change them all to use the Arabic number and create a redirect for the written form. Thank you

Help with editing

Hi, I see you made some edits on list that I have recently been adding to. Do you think that you could help me with adding some entries to those lists? I could really use some help as there is a lot of entries that need adding. Davidgoodheart (talk) 21:29, 31 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Davidgoodheart - Thanks for your post
I'm not sure which lists you had in mind - if the subject interests me I might be tempted, albeit that my editing time is fairly full
As a WikiGnome, I spend far more time deleting non-notable additions from lists, rather than adding to them, but without such pruning, lists become worthless.

Please note that you may have technically violated WP:3RR on 42 (number), although the edits appear to be vandalism. I suggest you add an editor note "rvv" or "reverting vandalism" at least once, to avoid possible confusion. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 15:47, 7 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Help with editing Social Mobility

Hello, I was wondering if you could review the Markers section of the Social Mobility article and give me any feedback. Also edit for grammar, misspelling, etc., Your help will be deeply appreciated. EliGamez (talk) 17:01, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi EliGamez - sorry it took me some time to get around this.
There were a few little errors, mostly plural/singular agreements, and tenses. There were also a couple of "due to the fact that" statements where I prefer "because" - Best wixhes - Arjayay (talk) 11:35, 15 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The Knowledge Academy

Why you think it not natural I have seen other educational institution they have the same details as awards and accredited by. That why I think that institute not have and then I searched on google and find the details of that company and also added all the sources where I got the information. please check new horizons computer learning centres. they also have awards and recognition. this institute did not have that why I choose this institution as my first Wikipedia editing article. @Arjayay: S9urav (talk) 06:59, 22 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi S9urav, firstly, please sign all posts on talk pages with 4 tildes ( ~~~~ ) which will add your signature and a timestamp.
Secondly, I did not revert either of your edits to The Knowledge Academy - I did delete an addition by 94.207.190.143 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) - an editor based in Dubai. If that was also by you, please do not use both an account and an IP to edit the same article.
Those additions were blatantly promotional describing the KA as the "world's leading Association for training professionals" - as per WP:EXTRAORDINARY "Any exceptional claim requires multiple high-quality sources." but there were no reliable, WP:Independent sources. That addition also claimed (in screaming bold) that the Academy provided training across 221 countries - The UN only has 193 member states, two observer states and 11 other states - a total of 206, thus disproving the claim.
As for other articles, as explained at WP:Other stuff exists, there are lots of things in our articles that shouldn't be there, but we do not accept this as a rationale for adding more things that shouldn't be there, as we aim to improve our articles, not steadily make them worse, Best wishes Arjayay (talk) 16:39, 21 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Arjayay, Thank you for letting me know we can add our sign by {S9urav (talk) 07:17, 22 November 2019 (UTC)}. I got your point the introduction lines not have good source. Because that was my first line I ever add in Wikipedia. After that, I researched all other educational institutions that are in the same category. And find Knowledge Academy(KA) did not have awards and recognition but others have. so I decided to add in(KA). it will take my whole day to research about all valid source. and I didn't know about we can bold the thing it looks like promotional. Can you please add awards and recognition and clients heading that I was updated. you can check all source. if you think anyone line which not have a valid source you have definitely delete them but not others which have.[reply]

It's very demotivating me that the first article I choose not approved. If you add that two headings so I will choose the next educational institute. and I also want to update revenue of KA according to 2019 and I had all valid source(companieshouse.gov.uk).

Thank you for guiding me. Please do not think the pay me any money. It's my personal interest because I'm good at find thing on the internet and after that, I choose the QA and another institute. S9urav (talk) 07:17, 22 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

MCS page

Hi Arjayay. Thanks for your corrections, although in one of them, you left a fragment and error. I replaced sentence you moved to footnote because it's the most important sentence in the causes section because it's a comment on consensus by a College of Physicians representative. What was your reason for removing it? I also wanted to ask why you removed fibro and CFS from see also? Increasingly research is linking these conditions and they have high rates of comorbidity.Leobenite (talk) 02:52, 25 November 2019 (UTC)Leobenite[reply]

Hi Leobenite thanks for your post. Having checked my edits in this one I simply removed an excess "the" - no fragment or error, in this one, I removed an EL in the body referring to to Linked-in, as non WP:RS, changed a second EL in the body to a Wikilink and changed a third EL in the body to a basic reference, because we never include ELs in the bodytext, In the final one. I removed duplicate ELs, and an EL already used in the body, we do not duplicate such links in the "See also" section. I cannot see that I moved any sentence to the footnotes, and, as already explained, we do not duplicate links in the "See also" section, nor do we pipe links to an article already listed. Best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 09:51, 25 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Cheers, Arjayay sounds like the moving of that section to a footnote was an accident then. Thanks for the explanation re conventions around ELs -- I still have a lot to learn. Leobenite
