Duncanville is an upcoming American animated sitcom co-created by Amy Poehler, Mike Scully and Julie Scully for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The show will feature the voices of Poehler, Ty Burrell, Riki Lindhome, Rashida Jones and Wiz Khalifa. The series is set to premiere on February 16, 2020.[1][2][3]

Premise

Duncanville will center on the life of Duncan Harris, an average 15-year-old boy, who is always one step away from making a bad decision. Along with Duncan lives his mom, a parking enforcement officer, who dreams of being a detective someday and always has to watch Duncan, his dad, who tries to be a better father figure to Duncan than his father was to him, and his sister Kimberly.[4]

Production

On August 17, 2017, it was reported that Fox had ordered a script and pilot presentation for an animated comedy developed by Amy Poehler and written by Poehler, Mike Scully and Julie Scully.[4][5]

On October 26, 2018, it was announced that Fox had ordered a 13 episode series with featured voices from Poehler, Rashida Jones and Wiz Khalifa.[1][6][7] On May 8, 2019, Ty Burrell had been cast as a series regular,[2] and on June 6, 2019, Riki Lindhome had also been cast as a series regular.[8]

The series will be executive produced by Poehler, Mike and Julie Scully through Paper Kite Productions, Dave Becky through 3 Arts Entertainment and Bento Box Entertainment, 20th Century Fox Television, Fox Entertainment, and Universal Television.[1][8][9][10]
