Music career and Influences

Holly Auna started playing shows in Indiana and Kentucky at age 14. She created and uploaded her original songs every week for 52 consecutive weeks on YouTube which grew her following substantially. [3] From this exposure, she inked a music licensing deal with Disney that included her original work on it was with this youtube channel called "Disney Stars". [4]. "Harmonies for the Heart", her debut album, was released on February 14, 2019. A music industry reviewer highlighted and described the songs contained in this release as follows:

“Secrets” is one of those songs that’s immediately contagious, with its pleasant harmonies and head bopping rhythms: “Why don’t you tell me all the secrets you keep?” “Home to Me” is a ballad designed to shower your lover with love. “Until I Try” is a nostalgic, ethereal heady song of guarded hope — you’ll never know until you try. “Already Lost” is a downward stepping “I was trapped in a slow disaster.. I was lost when I found you.” The EP is a collection of open, affectionate songs where harmonies reign and acoustics are clear." [5]

Auna provided input on her songwriting style and performance purpose in an interview in which she noted "Ryan Oetken (one of her co-writers) and I walk into writers’ rooms with no expectations – no goals of who to sound like or who might cut these songs – we just write. We enjoy writing poetic lyrics with cohabitating lead melody lines that still harmonize with each other."[6]
