Rob Marshall (born 1968) is an English motor racing engineer, who has worked for the Red Bull Racing Formula One team since 2006.[1]
Career
Marshall studied mechanical engineering on the Cardiff University. After his study, he went to work at the design department of Rolls-Royce. He switched to Benetton Formula as a race engineer in 1994. He continued working for Benetton until the take over by Renault Formula 1 team. With the Renault team, Marshall was promoted to Chief Mechanical Design. He worked for Renault on the Renault R26 car that won the world championship for Fernando Alonso in 2005. [2]
For the 2006 season, Marshall moved to the new Red Bull Racing team, where he worked with Adrian Newey. Here he had a key role in the cars that won 8 world titles between 2010 and 2013 with Sebastian Vettel.[3]
